Ji Chicheng didn't ask Ji Anning further; he released her arm and began searching again. He encountered a woman in an airport staff uniform and grabbed her hand, "Have you seen a little girl in a red sweater, about two years old, with her hair in two pigtails?"
The staff member thought for a moment, then said, "I just saw a middle-aged man carrying a little girl who was crying, and it seemed like she was wearing red."
Upon hearing this, Ji Chicheng didn't hesitate for a moment. He snatched the walkie-talkie out of the staff member's hand and spoke into it, "A child has been kidnapped; lock down the area, check the surveillance, a little girl in a red sweater, about two years old, with her hair in two pigtails."
No sooner had he spoken than someone else continued the announcement through the walkie-talkie.
Ji Chicheng paid no attention and headed downstairs with the walkie-talkie.
Ji Anning stood rooted to the spot, at a loss.
