Fenfen didn't know why Ji Chicheng was looking at her, and she was frightened by his expression. She called out to him tenderly, then, in an attempt to please him, cupped his face with her little hands and pecked softly at the corner of his lips.
Her palms were chubby, warm, and soft.
Ji Chicheng's eyes suddenly felt warm. He stretched out his hand to grasp one of the little girl's hands, enveloping it in his palm, looking at her with tightly pursed lips.
He had almost thought of all possibilities, even believing that she was really just after fame and gain and that she despised his background.
