"Three!"
Inside the Mechanical Ball, a voice devoid of human emotion began the countdown.
The agents who had nearly subdued the frenzied citizens, as well as the powerlessly furious followers of Flora, automatically envisioned the upcoming scene in their minds: Flora, once contained within the Mechanical Ball, would be exiled to that deathly planet.
Although aside from Chris, the other agents likely had no idea what the so-called "Exile Star" actually was.
But that didn't stop everyone from thinking, maybe this big problem seemed to be resolved?
Just as that thought emerged, the second countdown had not yet begun.
Suddenly, a twist occurred.
Hiss! Hiss! Hiss!
Amidst the burst of scorching steam, the surface of the Mechanical Ball revealed extraordinarily tiny cracks, from which deep red "spider silk" style sticky threads emerged, unfurling like a giant web without warning and swiftly enveloping the likewise immobilized Chris Bartfield.
