Screeches of pain and agony echoed out before the noise finally died down as 5 monsters that were huddled together died in an excruciating manner as if their insides were microwaved thanks to the lack of resistance that they had.
Sadly for the monsters near them and still watching this fight against to elder ranked monsters they failed to noticed at this very moment that Amal fired ten more of the same attack while Balter was narrowly avoiding it while leaving a small scratch on the monsters he passed by with his extended blade!
He was using Amal to finish off the other monsters to help him get a little more stronger before he attacks again as Balter an elder monster had noticed the subtle changes that happens to him every time he receives a certain amount of some kind of energy that entered his body with every kill.
Levels are a foreign concept to monsters, while ranks always decided the hierarchy of any monster and what their role will be.
Balter, however, thanks to his intelligence being increased thanks to being one of Walter's summons, was the first to understand that when he reaches a certain point he'd receive enlightenment to become more versatile against any enemy with a new ability.

Nothing could escape this attack as all the watching monsters were also electrified by this before hundreds of smoking dead monsters fell to the ground as the whole area seemed to start crumbling, while Balter used his knife as an anchor to reduce the amount of damage that he'd receive before the temporary paralysis took effect rendering him immobile for a short period of time.
Amal, this monster was staggering about from the strain of overusing its mana but using its last eye to see that Balter had fallen to the ground as arcs of electricity just above his skin was moving around his body, the monster's face formed a maddening grin of delight from the success of its skill.
It was unable to stay on his feet so by using a single working arm, it pulled itself towards its prey, no, its foe Amal had finally recognized Balter as a threat so the monster wanted to end his life as quickly as possible before the tables turn on itself!
It was already starting to drool as Amal was getting closer to Balter who was trying to break through the effects, its racid and hot breath was making the floor somewhat damp from it with it breathing so heavily from the excitement as it starting to regain control of its body before it leaped towards Balter who managed to regain control of one leg that struck fast smashing into the face of Amal.
this made it freeze in the air but Balter wasn't done as he delivered another then another he continuously kicked as if trying to crush Amal's face completely!
With a sickening crunch, Amal went frigid then fell limp on the ground, With adrenaline coursing through him Balter was looking at the damage he made in a daze before slowly getting up while keeping his distance a wise decision in this world as monster do tend to play dead when given the chance.
Balter was Bleating lowly with his blade pointed towards the downed misshapen, with heavy breathes the Elder goat-man gathered his Strength as the right arm holding the blade was still spasming from the aftereffects of the lightning skill as the passive regeneration was working its wonders on the more important parts as His ribcage creaked from moving back in place and healing.
He grits his flat teeth in pain but still kept his eye on the misshapen, before mustering enough energy to approach the monster and deliver the killing blow then when he was close enough Balter purposely made a stomp.
Sure enough, Amal was still alive and awake!
As its remaining eye popped out before it tackled Balter to the ground as his blade was knocked away from his hand, with them now facing each other Amal Mounted the goat-man showing the damage that was done to his face, the side that was kicked was oozing with blood and caved in some of the blood trickled down on to the pinned goat-man's face who gave a look of disgust!
Amal wanted to return the favor, before raising a fist while Balter resummoned his soul blade to stab the monster, but the other hand of the headhunter clamped on to his arm then pushed it to the ground with his weight added before slamming the clenched fist into Balter's snout with an audible crack!
Balter Bleated out in pain before narrowly dodging the following strike with a punch of his own to the injury of the Misshapen that pinned him down A roar of pain echoed followed then his ears started ringing.
Amal pushed his free wrist to the throat of Balter, who coughed, trying to completely crush it under its weight, that, however, lessened the weight on the right arm that wielded the blade with the other free to help it as the time to make a lethal strike was now!
Balter punched the loose arm than held his at the elbow, before Amal even registered this the Blade dug beep into the Headhunter's brain!
A look of confusion, while blinking the Misshapen's thought process was jumbled before realizing what had happened!
Its remaining eye widened before trying to use its skill again no matter what the consequences would be since it lack the mana it'd would use its life force instead but the blade in its head was twisted which caused its body to shudder before Balter kicked it off of him then jumped onto the dazed monster while beginning his stabbing montage into its head to make sure it was completely dead!
Balter did so until the barrier from the ritual that surrounded him had disappeared, He knew that Amal was favored by the evil beings so there was a chance that it'd gain a second chance so he made sure to prevent that!
All of the energies that Amal had gathered were transferred to Balter who now had to rest thanks to how much work he had put in today~
Now with the ritual was complete Balter turned into a wisp as he closed his eyes, while it headed towards his master that had given him the chance for revenge now he was just tired.
He had to rest for a bit while the changes are being made.
As with the Head hunter now dead, those that favored/loathed him now noticed a change within the world.
