The worm was as thick as a human arm—plump, segmented, extremely flexible, and entirely pink. It had a pair of black, dot-like eyes on its head, one on each side, with a dense array of teeth within its triangular oral apparatus below.
A layer of transparent mucus coated its surface, while dense, pale-red bristles grew in clumps on its back, reminiscent of the steel wool pads favored by wealthy women. Underneath its body were pairs of chest, abdominal, and tail feet, each tipped with barbs that firmly hooked onto Bob's lapels.
Placed on flat ground, this creature might have passed for a cute critter due to its chubby figure and pink appearance. But when it hung above Bob's head, its pitch-black eyes and savage mouthpiece aiming for Bob's mouth, the only adjectives left to describe it were "ghastly" and "terrifying."
"What are you doing?!"
Bob struggled desperately, not even caring that a few more of his ribs might have broken. "Let me go!!!"
"Don't be so agitated."
