So it turned out Bruce also hadn't realised that Kat would be willing to come along. Though based on the smug looks Furen gave everyone through her bandages, it seemed she did. With it established that Kat was willing to help, at least for the fighting the monster part, it was decided that they'd continue on. Kat wasn't entirely sure why. She wasn't planning on helping them find whatever they were looking for afterwards… but she suspected Chisel at least would try to sneak away at some point.
Well that or he expected he could grab the loot and sneak away with it. Or perhaps that they'd be able to ensure she allowed them to get away, or perhaps just made the delivery? Chisel seemed fine with going to jail or dying as long as his wife got the money so… perhaps it was something like that?
