Wil groaned as his phone buzzed on the nightstand, the screen's glow slicing through the darkness behind his eyelids. He blindly reached for it, eyes barely open as he slid to answer.
"Hello…?"
"Good morning, sleepyhead," came the bright, chirpy voice of Akiko on the other end.
Wil blinked, still half in dreamland. "Akiko…? Mm. I slept late. Can I call you back later?"
"Nope," she replied sweetly but firmly. "You have to wake up right now."
He frowned, rubbing his eyes. "Why?"
"Because…" she said with a smug little lilt, "I'm in Leafway City."
Wil's eyes shot open.
"What?!"
"I landed about an hour ago with Konami," she said, laughing at his reaction. "We checked into some hotel… I can't even pronounce it properly; it's written in Goryeo script. Like… Gotdang or something. But I'll send you the GPS."
He sat up straight in bed, the blanket falling off him. "You're here? You didn't even tell me!"
