"Kid bring me to your tribe. I want to know how you live."
Said Noah after thinking for a while. He wanted to know how someone could survive for so long deep in the forest. Usually the beasts would attack in big groups to suppress the humans in their territory. Even for a single man like him, was very difficult to survive, if he was not a knight and magician.
The kid heard what Noah said and panicked: "We cannot go there; it is very dangerous!"
"What do you mean?" Asked Noah curiously. He wanted to know why it was dangerous for him.
"A few days ago, a group of foreigners came to our tribe and they kidnapped and killed our people. They called themselves slave dealers." Said the kid with a sad expression, from his voice you could heard the frustration.
"I am the only one who could escape because I was playing outside the tribe."
Then tears appeared in the kids eyes.
Noahs eyes cooled down and he remembered what happened a time ago, as he met with a group of bandits. He could remember how they were treated and the suffer the people had to live because of them.
Therefor he decided to help this kid, even if he did not beg him for help.
"Bring me there, I have experience with people like them." Said Noah self-confident.
"No, I can't, they are too strong, and they have weapons. Even if you try to help and I do not like you, I can't send you to death." Said the kid refuting the help of Noah.
"Kid trust me, or your tribe will be sold away, raped and killed. You have the choice, first you bring me there or second you hide here and see your tribe die."
The kid's tears dropped more, and he was screaming. He did not know what to do. He was still a little kid and he did not know what to do.
"Ok, I'll bring you there, but only if you are sure about handling with them."
"Of course, I can, if not I wouldn't have asked you. Come now, if we are too late, many bad things can happen." Said Noah with a smile and then both hurried.
On their way the kid told him what happened in detail.
Everything began two days ago; he was playing outside the tribe alone and was collecting herbs for his mother. Because of that he was focused on playing while working and did not notice anything strange. He stayed the whole day outside and returned at the evening home with the basket of herbs, but as he reached the tribe, the house of the head of the village was on fire and in front of it were a group of people standing and laughing. He saw how his family and the others were kneeling in front of them and begging for mercy, but they continued laughing and ignoring them.
As he saw this, the kid feared and ran away. He did not want to run away, but this was the rule of the tribe. "My parents and the others always told us that if something happened and the tribe was in danger, if someone could save his life then he should do it and save the bloodline of the tribe. For us is bloodline very important, because it is the source of our powers. So as part of the tribe I had to follow the law of the tribe." The kid explained him carefully everything while running to the tribe.
Noah had heard of the so-called bloodlines; it was already nonexistent in his time and there was only legend about it.
The legends said that the people from ancient followed and venerate divine beasts. The divine beasts gifted those people with their bloodline and gave them the possibility to transform into the humanoid form of that beast. But only a few people were gifted with the bloodlines and those people could skyrocket in their cultivation.
The problem was that the bloodlines were not eternal, with every generation the bloodline becomes weaker and now it was very weak. The people from the tribe could only cultivate a bit faster as magicians or knights, but they could not take the humanoid beast form.
Then they reached the tribe after two hours of speeding, but of course, a ten years old kid was unable to run so long, therefor Noah took him on his back after 30 minutes of running.
"We are here, do you see that part of the forest there?" Asked the kid with a smile.
"There is nothing, there is only trees. Tell me where the tribe is." Said Noah unhappy, he was not in the mood to play games with the kid.
But the kid only smiled and then he said: "This is the reason why we can live in the forest without worry. Our ancestors built a barrier here and it stand till today and protect us." Said the kid with proud, but then he became sad and continued:" But somebody leaked the ubication of our tribe and these slave dealers found us. We were not prepared to fight back, because we never expect someone to find us."
Noah nodded in understanding and then he asked:
"Do you mean, that there is someone who leaked your ubication from the inside? I thought you had no contact with the outside world." He was curious about this.
The kid also frowned because he did not know how that happened. Never someone left the tribe, and nobody came here, or so was what had told him.
"I really do not know. I also asked myself the same question, but I did not find an answer."
"Ok, then this matter has to be investigated."
Then they approached the tribe and they were at the barrier and they had only to take a step to enter the tribe.
