"Oh no," Meng Bai muttered immediately, looking alarmed.
Ignoring him, Cattaleya began listing her "fun options." "We could head to the northern Immortal Court's territories and challenge the Beast Kings of the Frozen Barrens. I hear their pelts fetch a fortune. Or maybe raid the Shadow Tombs here in the Western Edges? Supposedly haunted and very close to the Farlands, but the treasures are worth the risk. Or—"
"No," Meng Bai interrupted quickly, shaking his head with wide eyes. "Absolutely not! Those places are death traps!"
