Travis shot up in his bed. Taking a moment to reflect on his memories he immediately fell into a fury.
"Damn it!!!"
That final attack Salamandor used wasn't by all means an end all to their attack. Although many of Last Lights would have been crippled, Travis had full faith in their capabilities to make a come back after suffering from that attack.
The issue was him!
Travis hadn't survived a full on attack from himself! He was already injured from his fight in the mirror maze. His Holy Energy had been entirely spent from keeping himself alive in that fight. His injured state left him vulnerable to the [Third Tear] his copy of himself unleashed when Salamandor used his final attack.
"I'm holding them back!", Travis had come to this conclusion shortly after he woke up at midnight again.
Because he had died, the time was reset to midnight! If he had countered his copy, or even just survived they could still be in that fight!
