The salty wind brushed against the youth's cheeks and drowned out all the noises in his ears. Meanwhile, the boat rocked violently and almost threw him off his feet, loosening his grip upon the wooden railing.
"Haah.. haah..."
He looked back while steadying his body, ignoring the sudden clear ache of his limbs. The cave's exit had fully collapsed completely and was buried beneath the crumbling cliff. The cave could no longer be seen.
And finally… they were out.
Moulin didn't waste another second and hurriedly rushed towards the back of the vessel. Snow, the little white fox trembling beside his master's ankle throughout the chaotic event, struggled to walk with the heaviness of his damp fur. Like a wet rag, he just sat on the floor shivering.
"Hadrian!"
Moulin's voice rose once he spotted the man behind the cabin- or what was left of it- clutching his wounded arm. His golden hair had darkened significantly, damp and stubbornly sticking to his forehead.
