Chapter 11 - 9- A Tour With A…Butler? Pt. 2

"And down this hall is where the King's office is located. Never proceed down this hall alone without His Majesty's permission, understood?" said the butler, Robert Nickleberry, as he looked at the young boy he was guiding through the castle for the day. Robert waited for his response.

Sebastian, standing beside him, nodded in agreement. "Yes, sir. I understand."

Robert acknowledged with a hum and continued to the next part of the tour. Sebastian followed him quietly.

Throughout the remainder of the tour, Robert only showed Sebastian the areas where he was permitted to go within the castle. However, he also warned the young boy not to enter these areas alone without proper authorization; otherwise, Sebastian could face serious consequences.

He understood the butler very well. By the way, how Robert told the young boy this without any hesitation. Like to scare him off.

Sebastian didn't understand why the butler would do something like that, he was trying to survive like everyone else in this castle. A survivor who had made a promise to his parents, and Sebastian was going to make sure to keep that promise and prove to everyone here wrong.

I'll make sure of it. Just you wait, Sebastian thought, while glaring up at Robert, who was unaware of the young boy's glare as the tour went on.

The tour had finally concluded, and Sebastian was back in his room, feeling exhausted. Everything with the butler went smoothly while on the tour, even though Sebastian felt some doubt in Robert, which was an understatement.

A young boy like him shouldn't be in an environment where danger may be present at any location or time, regardless of one's whereabouts. Sebastian gazed out of his bedroom window, observing that the sunset had disappeared for the night. He looked forward to his new life—a fresh start filled with challenges he was compelled to confront. Despite the certainty that adults might undermine him, he was determined to demonstrate to himself that he could succeed.
