​Sari let out a breath and took an awkward step back, trying to escape the goddess's overwhelming presence. "Uhh— which of my statements do you just agree with?"

​"All of it," Korenani replied briefly.

​Sari felt a knot tighten in her chest. "So you knew that we are the Moon's descendants?"

​"Indeed." The goddess offered a simple, unnerving nod.

The young girl's head went absolutely blank. Her frustration felt like a physical blow. This wasn't a revelation, it felt more like an insult. The ease of the answer made every struggle they'd endured feel pointless—like they had been running an endless maze finding a door that was never locked. She felt played, realizing the struggle was never about proving the truth, but about convincing an audience—an audience that was clearly too stupid or too stubborn to believe it, no matter how many signs were displayed. "Just how dumb are the people of Zeraschian's are?" Sari thought to herself.
