Chapter 1 - Chapter One

In a faraway land, few knew of the hidden world of mannequins known as the Bolanaire Kingdom. It was ruled by a Queen who dwelt in a magnificent palace, surrounded by breathtakingly unique trees, vibrant plants, and flowers unlike any found elsewhere. Scattered throughout the kingdom were exotic buildings and elegant houses where the mannequins once lived. These structures, standing proudly on either side of the roads, were built to last for thousands of years—a rare and captivating sight, a vivid feast for the eyes.

Beyond them, in the distance, stretched a bridge of perfectly formed stone arches, leading directly to the Queen's palace. The palace itself stood high upon a hill, overlooking all of the mannequin lands. Countless pointed towers pierced the sky, giving the grand structure an air of eccentric majesty.

This was the world of mannequins.

One day, an ordinary seventeen-year-old girl named Melania was invited to visit the Bolanaire Kingdom. She was short, plump, and dark-skinned, yet her face held a quiet beauty. Standing before the colossal palace doors, she waited anxiously for them to open. Moments later, they swung wide, and she stepped inside.

The sight before her took her breath away—grand chandeliers glistened from the high ceilings, their light spilling over intricate and dazzling decorations in every corner. As she wandered in awe, another great door opened, beckoning her forward.

When she stepped through, she froze. Lining the grand hallway were mannequins—males to the left, females to the right. The female mannequins had waist-length, jet-black hair with neat bangs, each dressed in flowing white gowns. The males were strikingly handsome, their short hair perfectly groomed, and they wore crisp white tuxedos. All eyes—unblinking and intense—were fixed on Melania as she walked down the center aisle toward a grand throne.

Seated there was the Queen—her beauty unmatched. She had a delicate, perfectly shaped face with a pointed nose, emerald-green eyes framed by thick lashes, small rose-red lips, and long, wavy black hair. She wore an exquisite green gown adorned with gold beads and diamonds, and she sat upon a gleaming golden throne engraved with rubies and diamond stones. Yet, there was no crown upon her head, and no King by her side.

The Queen's gaze locked on Melania. Her voice was cold as she spoke:

"Come with me, Melania."
