In her surprise, Amané was astonished that her ability to Glamor had no effect on Alliyah. Considering that her ability to Glamor was the most powerful one in the kingdom.
For someone like Alliyah to resist and prove Amané's Glamor to be ineffective to her, was a first time for the ancient vampire.
Her pride was besmirched.
