Chapter 3 - THREE

"Get down. All of you." Amelia demanded before she got down herself.

Evelyn and Liam were the first ones to get down after Amelia, followed by the two men who sat beside Evelyn. The men seated in the extreme back of the van heard a knock on one window, making one of them flinch, whereas the other two turned to the window to find Amelia gesturing them to get down with her weapon, and so they did.

One of them managed to sneak behind Evelyn, not knowing that Amelia was noticing every movement of theirs, even though she stared at Liam straight in the eyes. He snatched the gun away from her and placed it on her head from behind. Immediately, he heard a gunshot on the ground near his feet, which made him flinch.

"Drop it," Amelia said before finally taking her gaze off Liam, whose eyes were shut close because of the gunshot.

He thought before dropping the gun, petrified.

"You've got a death wish?" Amelia said, pointing the gun at him.

He gulped.

Amelia turned to the rest of them while Evelyn reached for her gun.

"Why don't you all stand in one place? I don't wanna turn to face each one of you," Amelia said calmly. The men didn't choose to disobey as this woman looked creepy at the moment, shifting reactions real quick, like some villain from a psycho-thriller movie.

Amelia looked at the terrified men and rubbed her temple in frustration.

"So the rest of you must be Ian Anderson, Patrick Wilson, and Vincent Jones. If I'm right?" Evelyn said before she looked up at them.

They slowly nodded.

"Look, we get that if you don't go back as soon as possible, it's a problem- not only for you, but for the both of us as well. So, we're gonna make sure you get back soon and safe."

"And in return, we need you to pretend this never happened. Nobody's knowing this." Amelia added because the men looked afraid in such a way that once they get back, they'd crawl into their manager's arms and whine about everything that had happened. That's when the tall guy spoke up after gathering up some courage.

"Okay. You seem to know quite a few things about us now. So who exactly are you?"

"Not so fast, Lucas. You guys aren't knowing anything about us." Said Amelia. "What made you think we would?" She scoffed.

"We don't know if you're gonna keep your words and, as we said, we don't trust you one bit." Evelyn turned to Vincent, the guy who snatched her gun. "Especially you."

Amelia looked up from her phone "Looks like it's your lucky day. It takes less than fifteen minutes to get back to where you came from." She said before turning to Liam, "Gimme your phone."

"W-what?" He shuttered as it was unexpected.

"Which part of 'Give me your phone' do you not understand?" Evelyn said as she rolled her eyes at him. He slowly reached for his phone in his pocket and hesitantly handed it to Amelia.

She gave it back to him after a while and said, "Here's the location so you can drive back."

She once again looked at the men and then at her friend. Evelyn gave her the 'What do we do now?' look and Amelia couldn't help but sigh. She knew that neither of them had much time and that there were too many possibilities that the men won't keep their words. They had to leave soon- both the men and the girls. She had to set them off as soon as possible.

She turned to them and said, "Listen carefully, it's not that we fear being exposed and are threatening you not to tell anyone about this. It's just that there's this big-..." She stopped, thinking of an appropriate word to describe her situation, and finally gave up. "... Huge problem behind us and we don't want you involved in by any chance. You should forget that this ever happened and act that way as well because we're not gonna be meeting again that's best for both me and you."

Amelia knew she'd never sighed that much in one day.

"Why are you just staring at me?! Has anyone taught you guys to respond?" She yelled at them, which didn't help at all, it just got them more afraid. Amelia gave up trying to make them understand what's going on and that's when Evelyn took her chance to speak.

"Just keep in mind whatever she said and here are your gadgets." She said as she handed them over to Patrick, who stood in front of her, and continued, "I switched three of them off, so don't turn them on until you reach your destination. This, too, is for your own safety. One more thing, don't you dare try telling anyone about this. I'm repeating it because I'm afraid that might cost your lives." She narrowed her eyes at James "If you do, I'll find you and I'll end you." She said, sending shivers down the man's spine. "And now, you're free to leave." She said before putting down the gun she was pointing at them the whole time.

None of the six men knew how to react.

Silence.

"S-so we can go now...?"

Evelyn totally lost it.

"I should've shot you all once we got here.." Evelyn rubbed her temple. "Why are you so annoying? Just leave!"

"I'm sorry about that. She does that every once in a while," Amelia said, trying to keep her temper. "Please leave before I do that, too. Get in your van, drive back safely, and don't stay here any longer."

The men did as instructed and just before they could leave, Amelia walked towards Liam's window and knocked on it. Liam scrolled the window down to hear Amelia say, "As she said before, just keep in mind whatever I said... please. It's just that I really don't want any of you to get into trouble."

And with that, they drove off. Just as they were about to cross the street, Vincent spoke up.

"What the hell was that?"

"I'm calling the manager," Lucas said as he scrolled down the contacts in his phone until he found out something. "This can't be..."

"What can't be? Is anything wrong?" Patrick asked.

"I can't find his contact. Not even any of the other staffs' contacts!"

"That's weird. Let me try calling someone..." James said, pulling out his phone from his pocket. He found out that they switched his phone off.

He thought about it for a moment and then switched it back on. As soon as he did, he received an anonymous call. He hesitated, but picked it up to hear a strangely familiar voice.

"Seriously, you had one job. And yet you choose not to listen."

"W-who is this? And what are you-"

"I told you what would happen if you try to leak any information about this. I believe you remember."

No answer.

There was a long sigh on the other end.

".... Hey, hey listen, this is no time to freak out, okay? This is just for your own safety. Think about it. What if your management gets to know about this? That you've been out without their knowledge in another country for almost an hour, and you come back telling them that some random women entered your van and drove you somewhere and helped you get back as well?"

"... What do you want now?"

"Don't contact anyone, for you know we erased the contacts from all your phones, reach back safely, act cool and forget this ever happened. As easy as that sounds."

The line went dead.

"Are you okay? Who was it on the phone? And what's with that look?" Vincent asked, concerned about the younger.

"I don't have any of their contacts either! What's going on?" Ian exclaimed.

"None of us do." James said, "They must've erased them when they took them away..."

"How do you know that?" One of them asked.

"She told it herself. Right now. They sound like they won't think twice before doing us any harm."

The van came to a stop and when they looked outside; they were exactly where they were before all the unexpected chaos.

Liam dashed out of his seat and entered the passengers' seat.

"I'm never gonna sit behind the wheel again, not even for fun."

When the rest of them were having a serious conversation with each other and those women with the guns, he was quite the entire time, driving. What no one knew was the chaos that broke down in his head. The situation was so tense that he had trouble focusing on the road as he could hear everything the rest of them were discussing and couldn't help but freak out.

But there was something else.

It was the woman with the dark hair, the one who sounded cold and violent. There was something about her that didn't get out of his head. Something with those deep brown eyes, her concerned tone, and something about her... he had a strange feeling but just couldn't put his finger on it.
