SPECIAL CHAPTER 1
Hercules and his half brother Perseus had been trying unsucessfully to get girlfriends for the past 150 days. In Olympus, they had tried their luck on almost all of the minor goddesses and still failed to woo even one of them. It wasn't because they weren't handsome or lacking in anything; other than their attitudes.
Hercules smirked at the beautiful lady sitting on a bench in the garden.
"Today is your lucky day woman, you shall be blessed with a handsome, strong, wise and extremely healthy boyfriend", Hercules shouted.
All of a sudden, a frown formed on her face. She was a minor goddess called Nemesis who had been convinced by her friend, another minor goddess called Khione to try and get to know the two extremely handsome gods.
Hercules and Perseus had both asked her out a few days ago when they'd met at a beach. But Nemesis herself already had a thing for the hero, slayer of Medusa, Perseus and had been waiting for an opportunity to at least have a moment with him. Hercules had asked her out first and she had thought she could at least use him to reach her goal, Perseus. She would have never agreed to go out with him if she had known that Perseus would ask her out later.
unfortunately, she couldn't take back her words because Hercules had gone ahead to gloat in his brother's face about their 'date'. And then Perseus had smiled and asked her out too. Apparently he was supposed to ask her out first but Hercules had beat him to it.
"well welcome to Olympus princess where you shall lack nothing and be under my ultimate protection", Perseus shouted.
Nemesis let out a small smile at the way they had suddenly puffed up their chests like proud peacocks.
"A banquet has been prepared in your honour, my princess. Shall we go and try out all the cuisines you have never tried before?", Hercules asked her making Perseus throw him a glare.
"My lady, I have set up a beach picnic for you. If you will please follow me, I shall be honoured to take you", Perseus added.
Nemesis stifled a laugh as she regarded the two demigods. She had actually heard a lot about them, the two biggest womanizers of Olympus
They were nicknamed the Olympian Casanovas for good reason.
This would definitely be a fun story to tell Khione later, Nemesis thought.
"My lords, I deem it an honour to be here in your prescence and to behold your awesomeness", she complicated.
Hercules swelled with pride instantly and began to flex his biceps in excitement. Perseus on the other hand dropped to the floor and began to do pushups at a really fast pace.
Nemesis stifled another laughter as she watched them. News travelled very fast in Olympus, not only had she heard about their womanizing exploits, she had also heard of how arrogant and snobbish they were. But right now staring at them and learning about their carefree side, she confirmed something else that rumors hadn't carried around.
They were lonely. Perhaps so lonely that they would go to such extreme lengths just to get attention, even if it was a woman's attention and company. The arrogance was only a cloak for the loneliness they felt but couldn't share with the rest of the world.
"Now then princess, I just did 200 pushups in honour of your sweet words. Shall we head to the beach where I have had all sorts of delicious dishes prepared. I would like to further sweeten your visit here, perhaps in order to win your heart", Perseus added.
"well I shall do double of that", Hercules countered and also dropped to the ground leaving Nemesis to facepalm.
After a few minutes, the two abruptly stood up and stared each other down like predators.
"I shall get 2 girls for myself while you remain single", Perseus countered.
"Then I shall get double that", Hercules replied.
"if that is so then I shall get 5times more girls than that", Perseus countered once again.
"oh really now?. How many times will that make yours?", he asked
Perseus smiled arrogantly "9times"
Hercules was quick to let out a short laugh
"idiot, that will be 20 times "
Perseus frowned and turned to Nemesis.
"shall we ignore this musclehead and head towards the beach now princess?", he asked
Just then, they saw a beautiful lady walking towards them, her air was shining like Persephone's summer rose flowers and her lips were like Aphrodite's red shawl.
oh wait a minute, it was Iris, no one would miss the tiny rainbow mark underneath her left eye. The goddess of the rainbow and messenger of the Gods. Stories about her beauty had travelled all over Olympus and some compared her to Aphrodite.
However, this was the first time Perseus and Hercules had never seen her in person. She was said to only relay messages that were urgent.
She smiled and made Nemesis instantly jealous.
"hello, courageous Perseus and Mighty Hercules, sons of the Great Zeus. I have been sent here against my will to deliver a message from your father", she said with a smile on her face although her eyes were full of scorn.
She must really hate her job.
"The said message is hereby revealed as this : My two musclehead sons shall converge with their other muscled airhead brother Ares at my courtroom immediately".
And just like that, Iris disappeared once again leaving Perseus' mouth hangong open.
"wait for me my beautiful princess", he complained.
Nemesis' frowned deepened and she pouted
"But I thought I was your princess"
Perseus shrugged
"sorry princess, I'm in love with Iris now"
"what?, that is preposterous", she countered
"no its not, she's all yours Hercules", he added and began to look around, searching for a messenger goddess who was already far gone.
"Don't worry, princess. I shall take good care of you", hercules said to Nemesis.
She stomped her foot on the ground like a spoilt child
"No thanks Hercules. And don't call me princess, it doesn't sound right when I hear it from your lips".
With that, Nemesis angrily left the two brothers and Hercules immediately tavkled Perseus to the ground in annoyance.
"what the hell is ypur problem idiot?", Perseus asked in a choked voice.
"you made her leave. I like her for the love of Zeus!. I only needed you to act as a decoy for me but you ruined it! AGAIN.", hercules answered in an unforgiving tone and glared down at his brother.
