Fu Miaoxue cried as she bit into the clam meat he fed her, chewing while tears streamed down her face.
It was still a bit gritty, but much better than before.
She swallowed through her sobs, looking at Du Lai with aggrieved eyes, saying, "I'm still hungry."
Du Lai dug out another piece of clam meat, as usual, rinsed it clean of sand in the bamboo tube, and fed it to Fu Miaoxue.
He fed her piece after piece, until finally the young lady stopped crying, and a small pile of clam shells formed on the ground.
Du Lai watched her take bite after bite, her cheeks bulging, feeling as if he were feeding a small animal.
"Are you full yet?" he asked, amused, "Miss, my arm is sore, and I haven't even eaten a bite myself."
Fu Miaoxue licked her lips, rubbing her stomach, saying, "I still want two more small crabs."
"Alright..." Du Lai nodded, full of admiration.
