Luotian split his noble silver bow, Nightspark, into two short swords of light and dark elements. He jumped up as he made a slash.
"You think you can kill me with those weapons? Let me see if you can land a single hit on me first." Sparrow Lord snarled with contempt. He waved his hand. A series of clicks came from the surrounding trees and the ground as sharp objects struck them, placing his escape points around the area while the youth approached.
Swish.
Sparrow Lord teleported away when the incoming weapon was only a few inches from his face.
Luotian had not expected the first strike to land. He was watching how Sparrow Lord moved, trying to learn his habits as he had done against the man's son. The blade forced a response; what mattered was where Sparrow Lord chose to appear afterward.
