A streak of lightning flashed and appeared behind the commander, then delivered a spinning kick toward her. Lightning trailed him as he closed the distance, his kick already swinging toward her.
Clang.
One rapier was raised horizontally to receive the kick. The clash of steel and force reverberated through the air, a sharp sound that echoed like a bell. Her blade met his leg before the kick could reach her body.
The impact sent a shockwave outward, rustling the nearby foliage and stirring the dust at their feet.
Before Feng Luotian could regain his balance, the other three rapiers shot toward him with lethal intent. They moved with serpentine grace, their tips gleaming wickedly as they aimed for vital points on his body.
The points approached from different angles, leaving him little room to withdraw.
Luotian quickly summoned a heavy-weight shield to the front and blocked the incoming rapiers.
