The flashback ended with Tori's suspiciously quick change of heart and a picture tucked firmly into her coat pocket.
Back in the present, Wynter burst out laughing.
"That was so fast. One second it was 'this is bullshit', the next it's 'when's the wedding?' I can't believe you caved that easily."
Tori groaned and buried her face in her hands.
"Don't remind me. It was a moment of weakness, okay?"
"Oh no, I'm absolutely going to remind you. Forever. You were bribed by a face."
"It was a very handsome face," Tori muttered through her fingers.
Wynter cackled. "How handsome could he be that you folded that fast? Now I'm very, very curious."
Tori peeked between her fingers, glaring. "Handsome enough to make me question my life choices, alright?"
"Oh wow." Wynter flopped back with a smirk. "That bad, huh?"
"That good," Tori corrected, resigned. "And that's the worst part. I can't believe I fell to one of Carina's schemes. That old hag weaponized my hormones."
