Melisca didn't resist when the hunters finally approached her. The red laser sights still lingered like ghostly marks on her body, but she stood tall, defiant, even as her capabilities remained nullified by the lingering effects of the ABD chemicals in the smoke.
Two of them stepped forward cautiously, firearms trained on her along with the Anti-Superno syringes that was used as bullets. The other moved in with heavy cuffs designed specifically for someone like her. They snapped the cold metal around her wrists, locking her hands behind her back. She didn't flinch. "Move." One of them ordered sharply.
But she didn't. She planted her feet, eyes blazing beneath the dim light that filtered through the fogged night. "Not until I see them. I want my parents freed now."
