"Trix."
My name broke through the silence, soft but firm.
I turned my head toward Zyron. His brows were furrowed, concern etched into his expression. "Are you okay? You've been quiet for a while now."
I drew in a long breath and tilted my gaze back to the night sky. Lanterns floated upward like fragile wishes, their golden light flickering against the velvet darkness. They should have been beautiful, magical even—but a knot twisted inside my chest.
"I'm nervous," I admitted softly.
"Nervous?" He shifted closer, his hand brushing mine. "About what?"
I faced him fully, letting him see the worry in my eyes. "I feel… something bad is going to happen."
Zyron didn't hesitate. He took both of my hands in his, holding them firmly as if anchoring me to the ground. His touch was warm, steady, and his gaze carried a seriousness that calmed me even before he spoke.
