Chapter 79 - Workplace Disasters

"I might tear his face if you can't tame me…" he murmured, his voice hoarse—dangerously low—striking her heart like a sudden thunderclap. Her pulse thrashed wildly, uncontrollably. His minty breath lingered against her skin, hypnotic, drowning out every thought except him. Her mind was a blank slate, occupied—no, consumed—by his presence.

She met his eyes, those heavy, sleepy eyes that held a beauty capable of tracing fire down her spine. Her gaze drifted lower, to his perfectly pointed nose, then down to his lips—those cupid-bow–shaped lips, naturally red, sinful. They tempted her, beckoned her to taste them.

She didn't know what possessed her, but she let her heart lead. Her hands slid to his collar, pulling him closer as she tiptoed—

Then, suddenly, the door swung open.

"Miss Yvienna, here's your cold water—"

Jandrix's voice froze her. She almost let go, but Kyle's arm circled her waist, pulling her impossibly closer.

"U-Uhm, I'm sorry!"
