"What was that?"
Shai mutters, sitting up, having the wet rag fall onto her lap. She looked around her. It was only her room. it was darker than usual, with a storm brewing outside. Clashes of lightning appeared before the window, making the room bright. Shai huffed, watching the light disappear, then staring at her hands,
"That dream, what was it. Another two figures,"
One cover is in darkness, and another is a familiar white. One getting sucked away hidden in some contraption, while the other became what the one taking away was, the leader,
"It's her, isn't it,"
Shai saw the woman who stood in front of the other, tricking him. Then the image from the television of her there. Glaring down at her form, Shai scoffed.
"A betrayal played before my eyes, all because of her,"
Something shook on her side. Shai looked to it, seeing the soft glow of the weapon there, shaking again,
"Is it because of you?"
It shook again, confirming it to Shai,
"Then why show me it at all, and this cold was you as well,"
It shook again, Shai's was used to the weapon, trying to communicate with her, but this was trying to tell her constantly that she didn't want this to go to waste. She wanted to ask it more of it,
"And the stress to?"
It didn't shake,
"Then it's just you?"
It shook again, Shai frowned, flopping back on the bed, trying to ignore the shaking on her hip. She covered her face. This was because of the weapon like her, Hermes, and the figures have thought. It not just an old artifact that they assumed. It's one of them? She heard the door open and uncovered her face, Judy stood there holding a tablet,
"You're awake?"
"Yeah, abruptly,"
Shai huffed, glancing at the weapon that, in response, would shake again, must not be happy getting pointed out. Judy saw her staring at the weapon,
"So, that's where Claire gets the prototype idea from?"
"Yes, she did. I was able to bring it out for her to scan it,"
Shai looked up at her and thought of why she would be here,
"Why are you here, I thought things were busy up on Capitol Hill?"
"I still am, but I came here after talking about the figure,"
"I got something you want to see,"
Judy walked to her and sat next to her. Shai stared at her, confused. When the weapon shook again, Shai frowned, asking,
"Is it about the weapon?"
"Yep,"
Judy turned on her tablet and pulled the image set on the screen into a hologram. Shai watched over her shoulder, seeing an image that could be described as a hidden being within the shadows behind the human they were watching. Shai glanced at Judy, catching her blue gaze. She had been looking into the figure. Shai saw how intrigued she was by the figures, but something else seemed to have scared her.
"Shai, there been more of the figures than you, and i realized,"
"Tell me about," Shai huffed
Shai moved her gaze away from the tablet, Judy looked at her. She must have the same frustration with them as they had with their research, if not more. After all, she's here because of them suffered because they had to unwilling follow their leader's orders.
"Shai, I don't understand this all, but I'm going to help you like i have said before."
Judy said, and Shai looked back at her. She still remembered how she acted, but if this had true meaning, then Shai would listen this time.
"These figures are odd, I can put it that way, right?"
"They are but like us, they have been hurt and forced to do something they don't want to do, only for us, we have a more blatant choice to say no, they don't have one."
"You mean their leader?"
Shai hummed nodes grabbing her glass of water taking a sip, she stops seeing that woman in her water glaring at her holding the weapon in her grasp, Shai scoffed still drinking it anyway, what she didn't know that Judy saw it too but with Shais side glowing.
Shai confused. He watched Judy take the glass from her, looking into it. Shai confused, watching Judy as she did that,
"Did she see it as well,"
"Shai, I've been looking into this because of the security video and other sitting of them. Do you know anymore about them?"
"I do, but I'm not sure if i can tell you,"
"Well, why not?"
"It a secret kept by the figures and gods, only now Eurus and I know of this,"
"And Claire,"
"True, I guess it will be fine if you know, but it's more of here they are then what they are,"
Judy held herself back, trying not to freeze from her, asking that Shai moved sitting beside her, Shai glanced at her
Shai noticed something off about Judy, the uncertainty from her gaze to her fighting form,
"I went with Eurus meeting the deities and the figures, I don't know if he told you or Claire,"
"Eurus has told me some of it the deities and what they are planning for us, he has told me,"
"So i don't have anything new to tell you,"
"Do you know where they live?"
"Sort of,"
"Then you still know something of them that i don't,"
Shai hummed, Judy isn't wrong in this. If that is what she wants to know, then why not tell her. She might need it.
"There base is odd, their in the middle of the universe not involved with time and space but watching over the worlds send some of them to watch over it, that happen to be the figure to watch over this world,"
"This world not yours,"
"Yes, that is why i am here now,"
Shai frowned. She still remembered that day coming back from him staking her to being stuck here. It wasn't so bad. Shai hummed, having her eyes closed, seeing it in her mind when Judy asked,
"Is it that bad?"
Shai opened her eyes, looking at Judy, she's hesitant to ask, almost sad to hear what Shai might say that she didn't like being here, maybe because of her. Shai glanced away at her, muttering,
"No, it's not bad here. Sometimes I can't help but think of my world and wonder when i will return,"
"I don't blame you, I would've thought the same if i was in the position you are in,"
Judy said she felt her tablet shake in her grasp, staring at the glass screen seeing a new video notification, Judy glanced at Shais direction and there stares meet both confused and curious, Judy tapped on it starting the video, it's the chamber around her office outside at the of midnight, the moon full shining a bright light over the yard calming with only a few birds chirping when a woman appears under a tree staring off at the chamber, a cloak covered her only for her purple eyes to appear under it. She moved around looking for something when she looked at the camera straight at them, Shai eyes widened, is that her again. Was she looking for something, Shai glanced at Judy, seeing her frightened expression. That's when it all made sense,
"Judy, where is she staring at?"
Judy gazed and went to her. She looked shaken but still firm. He opened her mouth, uttering,
"At my office,"
"Your office,"
Shai mutters as they watch the woman walk to Judy's window chamber, placing her hand over the window making it turn dark, black, it spreads to the other window making the black before softly taking her hand away and the black went to the wood seeping into it. She turned away from the camera, a brash wind blowing around her as she lifted her hand, making a portal, She turned to the camera, pointing at it with a frown enriched on her face,
"You have caught my attention. Stay out of this,"
The camera froze on her image when the sound of her leaving thought the portal still came through. Shai looked away from the tablet, staring at Judy. She knew that the other two figures were looking towards her but for them to look deeper into this, into her.
"Shai was that her, the one from the glass."
"The woman that we saw, is she the leader?"
Shai stared at the screen again, seeing the woman's back, but her head turned to the broken camera her left eye showing,
"Yeah, that's her,"
