A dispirited youthful voice came from the phone; Bo Tingshen pressed the floor button for the stairs, "What are you doing?"
Ye Xian glance at her phone. Did the CEO dial the wrong number?
Why would she be asked what she was doing out of the blue? Could it be that such a distinguished CEO of a major corporation, who managed myriad affairs daily, actually had the time to check on her, a minor employee?
Ye Xian didn't draft her lies; she blurted out, "I'm filming on set."
The ding of the elevator sounded, and Bo Tingshen, standing in front of the strawberries, looked at the intelligent screen displaying, "Master, Little Strawberry has returned home."
He oh-so-deliberately made a sound, "Is that so?"
"Mhm, the director is calling me. If you're not busy, CEO, I'll hang up..."
"Ye Xian, I'll give you one more chance."
The man's voice raised a notch, exuding an air of authority without anger.
