Jon had just finished closing down his shop for the day and didn't feel like going home. He saw the tavern in the distance and decided to head there for the evening. Jon walked up to the counter and asked for whole bottle of rum. The owner of the tavern gave Jon a side eye but gave the bottle any way. Jon thanked him and paid him for the bottle, he found an empty table in the corner and sat down. He recalled his fight with Sara today and what he said to her. No one had seen Sara all day after she ran with her horse, Jon quickly opened the bottle and took a few sips.
Jon regretted what he said to her but it was the truth, Jon was hurt but he couldn't blame her. He too withheld his past from her as well but Jon wondered if he would be happy with Sara or Serena. Jon took another sip when Serena crossed his mind, her obsession was getting out of hand. But he was glad she finally moved on but he had a doubt in the back of his mind that she had a plan and just didn't know what it was.
