As Solus opened his eyes and the first thing he saw was the all too familiar scent of smoke he always accidentally released smoke from his nostrils while he was sleeping.
The cave he was in was grandly decorated. This was due to the fact that he and his twin sister Luna were the Sun and Moon dragons and his twin brother Deloi was the Earth dragon.
A prophecy was made long ago that when the great war started 3 children would be born the first with the power of the sun the second with the power of the moon and the third with the power of the earth.
The Sun was big and powerful so Solis too grew big and powerful, the Moon was small and calm so Selene too was small and calm and the earth was timid and weak so Deloi too grew timid and weak, but he had a big heart. Which was sadly his downfall after 4 years of war, deloi had enough so he flew to Ilirea and went before their King to plead for peace but it was not to be, he was killed and burnt it was the biggest disgrace for a dragon.
A/N: Solis has the ability to transform into a human and a dragon while selene was always a human and Kinos always a dragon
Both siblings had different reactions to this outcome while Luna who strangely looked like a human while still being a dragon was grief stricken sitting in a corner of the room crying her eyes out while Solis was filled with a rage, a rage that could be compared with a Super- nova, flying over to the closest city an killed every last elf like sheep in a pen but this was not enough to quench his rage the anger and hurt just grew.
He blamed the war for his brothers death and there was only one way to end this war he had to kill them all everything that was not a dragon had to be exterminated that was the only way and so it started the next year was filled with endless slaughter whole cities were burned to the ground as Solis neared his goal before long wenn people saw him in the sky they knew that it was there end there was no of escaping those eyes of pure flame.
Not only the enemy feared him but his ally's too, the only person who he still trusted was his sister she didn't think what he was doing was right but she understood why he did it after a year his sister had recovered from Deloi's death she still wasn't the same as before. She most likely never would be, but Solis didn't recover, he still wanted to make them suffer like he did, his anger and pain was so deeply ingrained in him that he would most likely never recover.
A/N: this " means that they are talking and this ' means they are thinking.
As he looked up at the cave entrance he saw a green dragon entering the cave and knelt before him 'My lord i'm terribly sorry but we just received a message...'
'What is it' growled Solis as he lifted his head.
The green dragon cowed and said in a quivering voice 'the Lady Luna has been captured by the two legs pointy ears'
Solis`s face went blank, the usual warmth that surrounded him disappeared. 'What' he muttered.
'Your sister lady Selene was captured by the Elves they are holding her in Iliria' replied the green dragon.
Then suddenly the heat rose drastically the things in the room started catching on fire and the gold melted.
Solis who had now risen to his full height was trembling with rage, running out of the cave and jumping of the cliff that was the dragons stronghold he flew towards Iliria roaring 'I'll kill you all, i'll kill every last one of you'
Traveling south approaching the capital, the energy within him started gathering so he started glowing stronger, to people below it probably looked like a second sun. It was night time when he arrived diving through the cloud cover he looked like a meteor ready to destroy everything in its wake.
Just outside the city was a huge area with alot of elves, as he looked around he saw Luna. He dove toworeds the the space and landed dead center wiping up a huge plume of dust.
Wenn the dust settled he saw his sister, she looked around 15 years old, with a roundish face, long black hair and blue eyes surrounded by 5 elves each holding a dauthdaert an ornately decorated spear made to kill dragons.
Then suddenly all around him chanting started as if invoking a spell. That's when he notest that he was in a huge magic circle.
He tried to snap at one of the mages doing the chanting, but suddenly a jet of fire engulfs his face he looked where the fire had come from guessing it was a new weapon developed by the two legs pointy ears but what he saw shockt him it was a white dragon with an elf on his back.
As he looked around he saw 9 others but these didn't have elves riding them, these 9 were some of the oldest in their race but still small next to Solis, he exclaimed `what is this, have you betrayed your own race?`
Then one of them spoke it was Purple Solis had seen him from time to time but rarely talked to him he was also known as the Dragon's temporary leader if you could call him a leader, dragons didn't really have that sort of thing but in war they needed someone to make the decisions.
When he spoke he said 'Solus we have decided to sew for peace with the Elves and they agreed' Solus gritted his teeth 'How can you say that when they captured one of us'
'Ahhh about that, that's part of the deal'
'No I won't give my sister to the Elves'
'You misunderstand something, she is not part of the deal....You are'
Solis eyes opened wide
`'Your death will bring in the dawn of a new era, an era of peace and prosperity.'
That's when the the magic circle started to glow and he noticed that Luna also had a magic circle under her which connected to his
'NO NO NO, what are you doing?'Asked Solus
'We are using your sister's ability.' said the purple Dragon
The 3 siblings each had a special ability for Deloi, it was control of the earth (like an earth bender from Avatar) Solus had the ability of the Sun (like Escanor just without getting weaker during the night) and Luna had the ability to store others' power.
Suddenly a huge domme erupted from the ground and encased Solus and only Solus, he hit the domme with his right paw and cracks appeared and suddenly they vanished as the dragons were pouring their energy into it.
Suddenly Solus started to slowly shrink and slowly a mark appeared on Luna's chest asif ink was coming from under her skin, the mark looked like Sun.
Solus`s body started to morph into a human with elven features (he looks like Estarossa from the Seven Deadly sins) first the snout and tail started too shrink then the legs and wings and finally the spiks and scales.
He was kneeling on the ground clutching his head and growing, he suddenly stopped, stood up and the dome disappeared.
Then the purple dragon spoke 'You stand here accused of mass genecide and the slaughter of innocence, what do you say in your defence'
Then Solus spoke up and this time in the ancient language which you can not lie in "I do not deny those accusation, but I did it in the name of peace, my own brother went to there King and pleaded for peace but what did they do they didn't just send him awry, no they murdered him in cold blood, he was a good person he never liked violence and just wanted everybody happy but no they had to go up and kill him"
There was silence then after a few seconds the purple dragon said in a cold voice 'For the crimes you have committed you shall be sentenced to death.'
Luna ran forward and shouted at the dragon "NO THAT WAS NOT PART OF OUR AGREEMENT YOU CAN'T DO THIS" two gards grabbed her and stopped her from moving.
The five elves with the dauthdaert started walking towards Solus, he got into a fighting stance and lifted his arms.
A/N i'm just going to give them numbers
Elf1 charged forward and tried to stab him, he sidestepped and grabbed the shaft of the spear twirling it and knocking it out of the elf1 hands.
He used the spear to stab him through the back.
Holding the spear behind him with his arm in front and slightly crouched and ready to pounce at any moment.
Elf2 slashed diagonally which he defected to the side, letting himself go, with the momentum elf2 sidestepped elf3 stood in front of Solus and tried to stab him but Solus jumped back.
Elf4's spear berly mist him as he ducked elf2 cut at him with a downwards arc he parred and tried to strike but elf5 noked his spear down. He slashed at there leges and they all had to jump back. All of the elves stood side by side except for elf1 who was lying on the ground.
And so it continued for the next 5min after which elf3 stabbed Solus through the calf.
Solus fel to one knee elf4 used this opportunity to stab him though the back and out his chest Solus gasped at the pain and coughed some blood. Elf3 retracted his spear and did the same, it looked like Solus had two wings, elf2 and 5 stepped forward and stabbed him through the chest and out the back.
They used elf1's spear and stabbed him straight though the middle of his chest.
All that time Luna was crying and telling them to stop.
Suddenly Solus stood back up and started to walk towards Luna the Elves tried to stop him but the Elf on the dragon told them not to. Solus slowly tottered towards Luna, she didn't notice any of this because she had her head down crying as she felt a wet hand on her cheek, she looked up at her brother who just smiled at her with half closed eyes.
Wenn he spoke his voice was raspy and quiet 'My sweet sister do not worry about me I will always look out for you even when i'm not in this world so please do not mourn for me morn for the people who died in this war, now my time has come so this is my last gift to you'
As he said that, he took off a necklace he was wearing. It was a miniature version of one of his scales. He took her hand and placed the necklaces in it and he closed her hand again.
Putting her hands on the sides of his face Luna suddenly started chanting something in a language which neither the elves or dragons could understand. It was a language which only the three siblings could speak, it was physically impossible for others to speak it.
While she was chanting she took some of his blood and drew a symbol on Solus's forhead and multiple more around his face and neck.
After she was finished chanting the symbols started to glow and turn to gold dust. Looking over at the elves around her Luna noticed they had started to screen as their life force started to get sucked out of them.
Luna looked back at her brother who was dissolving into golden dust. She just smiled and kissed him on the forehead and whispered don't take too long i'll be waiting' a single tear ran down Solus's cheak as he completely disappeared.
