Chapter 5 - Money is Honey {5}

Len woke up confused, why was the stranger cuddling him? Len thought perhaps this man had a wife or pet at home and mistook him for one of those, but how can he escape? Len had already used the stranger to get in, now he just needed to ditch him, after all Len was going to be a villain, he couldn't have someone following him! Len couldnt possibly have someone trying to follow him when he was trying to do dastardly deeds! He sat in silence trying to think of a plan, finally he decided he would wriggle out of this man's arms, jump out the window, and be free!

Damian watched in amusement as the boy tried to escape his grasp as he pretended to sleep. He had to give the kid credit he was trying very hard, Damian did not mind him wiggling his ass around either so he kept pretending to sleep. It occurred to Damian that he might want to move soon as he was bound to get a boner if the boy kept rubbing against his not so little friend.

Len finally gave up on his attempts at freedom. He was completely worn out from trying to escape the obviously stronger arms of the stranger. He decided to go with his second plan and rolled over in Damians arms only to slap him "Wake up!" he yelled. Len watched with growing regret as Damian opened one eye to glare at him not saying a word.

People stared as Len trudged along behind Damian sulking with a large handprint on his ass causing him to waddle, little did he know what those people thought or of the satisfied smile on Damian's face. Len had not managed to escape and after slapping him the stranger returned it and was now forcing him to come buy supplies. Whenever he questioned it the stranger simply told him he was young and needed a weapon guardian in a big city for his first day, he would be free after that.

Len understood why he needed the stranger for his first day, he was not the only one who dreamed of becoming a villain! Three different people tried to rob him before they even reached the market, they were obviously stupid as he didn't have money! Len watched as each one was caught by the stranger and told off for 'trying to steal from a child' which Len thought was odd where was a child at?

Bright red, blue, and yellow tents peaked from behind buildings and Len sighed in relief that he was finally here. Damian turned to him filled with the same annoyance he had when Len first found him "Do you have money kid?" Len quickly shook his head causing Damian to sigh. Damian glanced around the brightly colored stalls and suspicious looking vendors before turning his gaze back to Len "I'll give you some money, go buy yourself a weapon and a week's worth of food" Len quickly nodded his head and reached forward cupping his hands for the money. Damian dropped three silver coins into Len's hand which shocked him!

100 copper = 1 silver

100 silver = 1 gold

100 gold = 1 kings coin

1 copper = 100 US dollars

1 silver = 10,000 US dollars

1 gold = 100,000,000 US dollars

1 kings coin = Anything may be bought with this.

Damian watched as Len joyfully ran to a weapons vendor and started perusing the swords, something caught the kid's eye causing him to run right out of Damian's sight. He huffed and followed the kid eyeing the people who waited by the side of the road, waited for someone to not pay attention to their money.

Len had found gloves he thought would make great weapons, they were black with silver lines running over them in a vine pattern, they were weapons because the palms had small spikes meant to tear into flesh Len didn't know what the colorfull sticks next to them were. Len picked the gloves up before slipping them on his hands, they were way to big for his frail hands.

A merchant eyed the kid in his store closely before deciding he was poor and a danger to his wares. The merchant approached Len who looked at him with wide eyes, a solitary finger was pointed at Len's face by the merchant, "Out of my shop if you do not have money to buy!" Len held out his three silver "Mister I was going to buy, but I want these gloves and they don't fit!"

Wide eyes stared at Len, who was wearing clothes no better than rags yet held the merchant's yearly salary in his hand "Of course, of course, how rude of me my dear boy!" The merchant sneered, he knew the boy was dumb for holding out so much money, it shouldn't be hard to rob him of it.
