"What!?... uhm... wait brother Li sorry to say this but isn't that a useless skill?"
Li was uncertain and ask him why is it useless then Heng sigh and said to Li 'you really don't know anything?' Li slightly nod.
"Really sigh... okay I have no choice then. If you are really in far continent, here shadow skills are useless and it is classified as a trash. I dont know the other reason but in the past era shadow skills are only use for support."
Heng was a bit worried when he said it to Li but he didn't mind it and comfort him.
"Anyway don't worry too much brother Heng. I'm sure that I can still gain other skills other than shadow skills."
"Brother Li... you are really kind."
Heng hug him while crying and Li was a bit embarrassed while thinking about the word shadow skill, it peek his curiosity but he still dont know anything that is why he need more experience and knowledge. He calm Heng and helped him stand wearing a happy smile. As that day they became more closer.
The lecture resumed and they went together to their class. A different period of class but the same instructor, he insisted all of the students in his class to go in the training area,so all the students was confuse but they still went outside of their school.
"This class session will be your training period. I'm instructor Xie Beng Mei and for the training today is to climb that hill! I will not support you nor giving an advice because this is also a trial to prove that you are qualified to this academy."
All of the students reaction were shock and because they knew that the hill was filled with spirit beast. Spirit beast are creatures who have a incredible supernatural strength or powers and spirit beast have a different kind of hybrid, it can also be tamed and consider the tamer as their master and partner. As the age of 15-16 there are students who are still frightened but for Li he was also nervous but then he smirk.
"(This is a bit dangerous but still... this is my chance to become stronger! Now that I'm being familiar from this world and about the mechanism of my system. I won't let this chance slip.)
"Now! for any further ado, all of you must pass this trial till sundown, for those who can't pass this trial they will automatically be dismissed, out from this academy. Now! begin your trial!"
All of the students was startled, hesitating to move but they have no choice and started to run towards the direction of the hill. They all separate each other, others are using their magic skills to buff their self, also there are students who are forming group and there are students who want to be solo. While Chao Heng and Li Zhi are together running and went to the forest.
"Brother Li there will be no spirit beast right?"
"Um... well I don't know but don't let your guard down."
Heng express as he understood what Li is saying but then they halt and saw a white rabbit that have a horn in their forehead and twice size, also Li saw it's status.
[Horned Rabbit]
"Hey brother Li, careful because I heard that horned rabbit are agile."
"O-Okay... (Still... I can't see it's emotion then that means only humans where I can see its emotions.)"
Li shake his head and ignored it out to focus on the Horned Rabbit. Watching afar the two of them plan something. They separate slowly to in trap the horned rabbit, in both sides they signal each other and show up. Heng use his fire skill to aim the horned rabbit but by it's speedy movements Heng couldn't aim. Heng keep missing and the horned rabbit started to move using the trees to bounce. They can still see the movements of the horned rabbit but the thing is they are still weak and slow. Suddenly the horned rabbit rammed Li, unexpectedly he dodge it.
"Brother Li are you okay?"
"Ah, yeah (that was close!!!... if I didn't react in that same time my body would probably have a hole.)"
Li was making a troubled expression thinking how should they deal the horned rabbit. The Horned rabbit continuously bounced and Li think something.
"Brother Heng!"
"Wha-what!?"
"I will give you a sign and use your fire skill to in trap us."
"What!? are you insane!? that would be dangerous you know."
"I know but It's okay, just trust me."
Heng was showing a worried expression but after seeing the confident eyes of Li he nod and say okay. Li was waiting for opportunity, when the Horned rabbit came closer to him he shout and said.
"Now!"
Chao Heng released his fire skill and in trap them. The horned rabbit can't escape along with Li, both of them were circled by the fire of Heng.
"This time you can't run."
The horned rabbit glared to Li and dash forward then Li use his skill shadow steps. He pass through and went at the back, the horned rabbit can't move because it was still in the air, slowly landing on the land fire and got burnt by the fire. Li use his other skill shadow bind and struggled the feet of the horned rabbit, it land on the fire but it countered and rushed forward to Li. He was shock that it can still move while rushing to him then Li step aside using his shadow steps and pushed the horned rabbit with his shadow bind. The horned rabbit was surely burned this time and the two triumph, smiling in their victory.
"Brother Li we defeated it!"
"Yeah, and thanks to you brother Heng."
"Ahh, you mean my fire skill, but still you're awesome if it weren't you I think I'm crawling now and dead."
"Hahaha! you are funny brother Heng."
While Chao Heng giggled Li saw something in his system screen, In front of him he saw the notification [Drop item: Horned Rabbit-Meat] he was surprise and keep it in his storage area thinking to his self that it will be benefit to him and his friend Heng while smiling.
"Brother Li is there something funny?"
"Ahh no nothing, let's go we need to reach that hill."
Chao Heng said okay and the two of them started to move. Running in the forest Chao Heng and Li Zhi sense the explosions, the two of them stare each other and nod. They went in the explosion area where they sense it and what they saw is there was a two teams fighting each other, in the left team there are three boys who are unhurt while laughing, on the other side there are two boys who are badly hurt and can't even stand because they were also tired and injured. Li was shock and angry.
"Stop right there! what are you doing to your own classmates!"
"Boy 1: Huh? who are you? wait... you are the new student right? your name was.. ah! Li Zhi. Brother Li Zhi if you don't want to be hurt with your chubby friend, you should not butt in and leave now."
"Dream on! you think I will leave my own classmates while seeing them badly hurt."
"Boy 1: Sigh... trying to be hero... well if you really don't want to leave then... Boys!! beat them up!"
The three boys dash forward then Li signaled Heng to use his fire skill and in trap them. The fire encircled them as the two boys halt. While they were in trap and cancelling the fire, Li and Heng carry the two injured classmates and unconsciously run off in the deep forest.
