Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: What Happened Last Night (1)

"Well, Miss, why don't I have someone prepare your dinner first and then tidy up here for you to rest?" Dongbao looked at the mess and suggested to Han Jing.

Han Jing nodded and was about to leave when she suddenly stopped, glanced around, and asked, "Where's the mirror in the room?"

Dongbao...

"Miss, you, you just broke a glazed mirror yesterday morning, and said not to bring another mirror over." Speaking of this, Dongbao was truly anxious. How many women in this world can not care about their appearance? Every time after looking in the mirror, the Miss would get furious... So, without permission, the servants in this mansion dare not bring a new mirror to the Miss.

Han Jing...

Dongbao looked at Han Jing's expression and probed, "Should I call someone to bring over a copper mirror for the Miss?"

With a copper mirror, the reflection is not very clear, perhaps the Miss would... not get angry.

Han Jing waved her hand, "Bring the glazed mirror over."

Dongbao... Did she, did she hear it wrong?

She looked at Han Jing a bit uncertainly, just about to probe further, but Han Jing coldly said, "Why aren't you going quickly!"

Dongbao immediately complied, went out and ordered the servants to fetch a glazed mirror from the storage, and to be quick, also told them to prepare dinner.

Within a few minutes, the servants returned with a new glazed mirror.

The clear mirror reflected Han Jing's face, which was really not very pleasant.

One side was a bright red birthmark, the other side was a finger imprint that hadn't faded yet, still slightly swollen at this moment.

Han Jing's fingers touched the birthmark on her left cheek, and she frowned.

There didn't seem to be anything unusual about it, so why had her face been feeling somewhat hot, as if it was going to burn, ever since she began to concentrate her spiritual power?

Meanwhile Dongbao was almost in tears. Usually when their Miss stared at her birthmark, the next thing was definitely a burst of anger...

"Miss..." Dongbao just opened her mouth, intending to say something else to distract Han Jing, but Han Jing had already stood up, "Let's go have dinner first."

There was no sign of her about to lose her temper.

Dongbao was so shocked she didn't come to her senses for a long time, wondering what happened when Han Jing left the room.

The Miss ordinarily was most forbidden about the birthmark on her face, not even being able to tolerate herself, hence she often had a bad temper. But it seemed that ever since the Miss was rescued from the water and woke up today, although her temper was still not good, she had not gotten angry because of her face...

Dongbao couldn't help but be a bit worried, hoping the Miss wasn't holding everything in her heart...

She followed to the dining room, where Han Jing was already enjoying her dinner with a seemingly good mood, making Dongbao even more baffled.

Just after dinner, the people Dongbao sent to gather information had already returned. Han Jing heard it was about last night's events, so she called them over to report, so she could also listen.

The one to report was a female guard named Chu Qing.

"I have gathered that last night, indeed, the Miss stayed a whole night at Mudan Pavillion in Baihua Garden, leaving only in the morning. As for what exactly happened, due to the rules of Baihua Garden, this cannot be investigated. As for Prince Ling, last night he went to the General Han Mansion, returning only this morning, without having met with the Miss. Additionally, yesterday around evening, Miss Han also went to Baihua Garden, but left shortly after."
