Wolf pondered all morning and finally made a decision.
He called his friend and said that Sofia's residency had been approved and hoped she could come to the immigration office to complete the related procedures.

That friend was also happy, the issue was finally resolved, but soon after, he called back, hesitantly saying—on the other side, they are asking Wolf to personally deliver the documents.
Wolf asked, caught between laughter and tears, "James, do you think this request is reasonable?"
"I also think it's unreasonable," James sighed on the other end of the phone, sounding rather embarrassed, "She says you know the reason and it's hard for me to ask further. Whatever the case, she's just a child, Wolf, just bear with it."
Wolf didn't respond, and after a couple of "Hello" from this end, James assumed he was angry, apologized, and hung up the phone.
