Aurora Blaine frowned but said nothing. It was clear that Kane Townsend could have dodged the slap, but she didn't.
Taking this slap, perhaps the guilt would lessen a bit.
"What are you doing?" Mr. Townsend quickly spoke up.
Mrs. Townsend stiffened, suddenly realizing what she had done, "I... Kane, I didn't mean to."
Kane Townsend raised a hand to touch her slightly numb cheek, her expression not showing the slightest emotion, repeating the earlier words, "I will move out and live elsewhere for a while."
Having said that, Kane walked upstairs.
At this moment, a teenage girl of about fifteen or sixteen suddenly ran out of the room, seemingly agitated, and shoved Aurora Blaine.
The girl shouted angrily, "It's all because of you, everything that happened today is because of you! Without you, my sister's leg wouldn't have been injured!"
Aurora Blaine let the girl shove her. To her, the strength wasn't much, she didn't even move her feet, still standing at a distance.
