Following Nalan Jing's instructions, he sat down on a nearby stone while Mu Qianyue began cooking, preparing a few homely dishes like braised fish, fried chicken wings, and twice-cooked pork.
In no time, the food was laid out on the table. As Mu Qianyue was about to fetch some wine, Nalan Jing had already brought out two jars — the very Spirit Fruit Wine from the Hundred Flowers.
With a pop, the seal was opened, and a rich fragrance of wine instantly filled the entire courtyard.
"I never knew my dear wife had such culinary skills," Nalan Jing exclaimed in admiration after tasting a piece of fish.
"Try this, this one's the best," Mu Qianyue said as she handed him a chicken leg.
Nalan Jing took it curiously, had a bite, and found the outside crispy and fragrant, while the chicken inside was incredibly tender and delicious.
