Heavenly Punishment, strictly speaking, is not the same as Heavenly Tribulation!
While one is the punitive measure descended by the Heavenly Dao, the other is a test imparted by the Heavenly Dao!
Punishment only causes suffering, and if one cannot endure it, their soul will scatter, their Dao will perish, and all will come to an end!
But if the trial is passed, one naturally receives a reward from the Heavenly Dao; even if the trial is not passed, a glimmer of hope remains, not utterly devastating the soul—some even retain their soul and remnants of their body to become Loose Immortals.
Even if the soul is dispersed, as long as the Lifebound Spirit Light remains, one can still be reincarnated to Cultivate anew!
