While he was frightened of Eric who had shown to be a true devil previously, he was terrified of the Ancestor they were about to wake up.
After all, this guy was way stronger than Eric at the moment. Perhaps in the future Eric would surpass him, and that wasn't going to be too far away probably.
But now, Eric was like a little boy in front of a grown up, and he intended to kick the grown up right in between his legs.
