Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Death and Rebirth

A huge array of rhythmic taps and clicks filled the ears of Harrison Smith, as he sat in a huge, warm room contemplating his thoughts. A loud gong of a grandfather clock sounded suddenly, signalling the end of the previous day and the start to a new one. Yet Harrison remained undisturbed due to the depth and weight of his thoughts. Beside his leather-bound chair was a cooling cup of tea, a fading cigarette inside a tray of ash and an array of books piled to reach a height very close to his head.

Boom!

A tremendous sound, followed by what could only be described as the worst earthquake on the planet, because the force of the shaking caused everything in the room to clash, fall and smash too many pieces finally waking Harrison from his ponderings. Unfortunately, the sound and heavy vibrations of the earth were followed by a monstrous heat and pressure from above which in the span of seconds descend into the roof and then a room of Harrison, crushing his form so quickly and powerfully that death came without Harrison even knowing.

From Harrison's perspective, he felt a shock that awoke him from his ponderings before a huge pressure occurred all around him, followed by absolute silence, death and nothingness. At the present moment, immediately after this event; Harrison's thoughts were forcibly broken open, wherein an instant; Harrison was brought to a state of wholeness and completeness leaving him with a strange sense of acceptance and waiting. The latter because, there was nothing left to think, dream or ponder about. Death had truly rid, Harrison of everything meaningful.

Beyond Harrison's perspective, a being of unknown origin and power gazed at the soul which had been killed due to their machinations. The being didn't speak, nor did it wish to reveal itself to the soul. In fact, the only sign of the being doing anything was by the intensity of their eyes. Black as death with an intense red glint which grew brighter as it scoured Harrison's soul. Seemingly seen enough, a blink from the being caused the soul of Harrison to vanish from sight. In the place that Harrison's soul had been, appeared another quiet similar, yet still unique soul. Only this time, the being's eyes closed completely, seemingly lost all interest. As it did so, vanishing completely, a bright and angelic being appeared not too far away.

"greetings young soul, my name is Nathaniel, and I will be your soul assessor this death. Please remain calm as I begin the analysis of your life."

Harrison's soul, on the other hand, appeared very far away from the position it had once been. In fact, the very dimension was so far removed, that the angelic Nathaniel would nigh-never be able to discover Harrison's position. This was because Harrison had appeared in a completely different universe. A universe of an origin which many people on Harrison's world would know a lot about, only for Harrison himself, the knowledge of the said world was was only basic at best. Still, the moment Harrison's soul sunk into the belly of woman, fused into a slowly growing lifeform inside, brought Harrison's soul a whole new life to worry about. A life where reality would be far more surreal than fiction ever could.

The woman who was to birth a child in several months time didn't feel anything different, and continued to work hard, to process meat in the factory she worked at. Her name was Gine, born into a working-class family, who had all perished in the war several years ago against the race of Tuffles. A very intellectual race, kind and rational yet against the barbaric, warrior race, the Saiyan's a war against the cultures soon arose. Gine herself had witnessed the horror of the war and had actually been made to fight in it. If it wasn't for her mate, Bardock she would have perished along with her parents. It was well known that she possessed a kind heart, and for this, she was looking down upon, due to the norm of Saiyan's was to be aggressive, loud and proud.

All of a sudden, she felt big, warm hands wrap around her waist, along with a strong smash of masculine smell which she knew already to be her mate. However, she also knew that Bardock wasn't one for affection but instinctual actions. This action was only to get some free meat and to release his lust a few minutes later. Gine knew, her mates life required strong discipline and had already accepted her place beside him.

Gine had already flicked three huge legs of meat behind her, continuing to finish the last batch of meat to be processed, before pressing a big red button to shut down her workstation. Before she had, she could do, think and say anything, her body was whisked away at such speeds that she could only close her eyes, to wade away the strong winds. Still, her heart could not stop beating with love, at the one who she adored completely.

A woman and 3 men, appeared at the place where the two lovers had disappeared from. The men spoke some words to the woman before flying off at speed, with faces that were almost identical to Bardock's. This left the new woman alone to grumble at her frustrations.

"Grrrr, damn that bastard. Would it hurt him to find someone else to cover for his bitch? sigh! At least I can swipe some delicious meat whilst I work. Hell knows that Gine wouldn't do this unless Bardock showed. Although, from our last mission, I can tell those two are going to be awhile. Okay Rina, get your act together girl."

The hours of steamy lovemaking filled the handmade, but the sturdy house. The two lovers were now separated and quickly dressing up in order to continue on their jobs. Before leaving, Bardock looked back with a strong, yet cold face and said;

"Gine. Take care of my son in there, I have a feeling that his destiny is far bigger than we could ever imagine. Don't ask me how I know, but my gut tells me this to be true. Until we next meet again."

And without wasting time, he shot away to a meeting spot, where his team had agreed to meet. Gine slowly dressed and placed a hand upon her belly. She could feel something special too inside her. Her heart just knew her future baby would grow up to be a great man. Then her thoughts switched to important requirements she would have to deal with.

'I'll have to speak to the manager to get some days of work for my hospital stay. Thank Vegeta that this time, the birthing process will be made easier with Tuffle technology.'

4 months passed until the important moment occurred. Gine alone lay upon a high tech bed with many scanners and gadgets floated around her body, which were controlled by the Frieza scientists. All of them looked as different from each other as the sun and moon do, and were all filled with a different array of scientific knowledge which wasn't all completely tailored to childbirth. But they were deemed intelligent enough to follow procedure, utilise the technology and work in a cold, methodical and efficient way in order to get the most of the resource which Emperor Frieza cared about Planet eradicators.

For most ordinary Saiyans, the nature of Emperor Frieza was completely unknown, but the only thing that they needed to remember was that Frieza's power made King Vegeta appear to be a baby. This creates a tiny gem of fear, which controlled every facet of their being before their own Saiyan pride. Especially since the normal Saiyan's weren't warriors but low-class workers who filled 80% of the Race's population. As for the warriors, they all knew in variable amounts of understanding that Frieza was using them as mere space attack dogs. Especially for low and mid-class Saiyan babies, because after a maximum of three years in an efficient, nurturing incubation chamber, they would all be sent to a distant planet, by an attack pod, in which brainwashing tools would manipulate each child to destroy all life in the planet.

The child of Bardock and Gine was expected to face the same fate, which was why an incubation chamber was prepped and ready, plus the scientists planned to give Gine barely a minute before she would have to leave. Gine could only stay for an extra day in order to recuperate as much as possible, before being sent back to work. Yet still, this was the new normal ever since the Saiyan race played host to Frieza and his father, King Cold.

Now though, the child named Kakarot by his father before leaving several months ago was being born now. His latent life-force energy was revealed to contain a low overall power rating of '2' by the high-tech Scouters designed to detect this life-force quantity. Whilst unsurprised, the scientists could help but scoff and make fun of the woman for birthing such a weak child. Yet after a few verbal barbs, they cleaned Kakarot up, placed him into a see-through incubation pod.

Gine's eyes never left her son's, and regardless of Kakarot's power, her love for him continued to rise and swell. No matter what anybody said, she loved her son more than the entire world. Strangely it was only in these moments, where Gine felt incredible power course through her veins. It occurred during lovemaking with Bardock but only now, did it explode so beautifully. And she knew, it was all because of her love for her child. Another child called Raditz came from Bardock but was birthed by Rina, who didn't possess any kindness or love as Gine did. In fact, Gine and Raditz did truly have the same love connection as Bardock or Kakarot, which didn't stop her from being kind, but she knew in her heart that it was different. This was why she could focus all her love towards her baby and practically feel the same love coming back to her, from the eyes of her baby.

'I knew it! My precious baby has the same kindness and love that I do. In fact, I would argue that his gentleness transcends even my own. My Kakarot! you have already made your mother so proud. Rest well, my son. My love for you transcends distance and time. Never forget that.'

Gine's eyes closed from the fatigue, pain and relief of childbirth, whilst Kakarot was wheeled away into a basement warehouse which housed hundreds and thousands of Saiyan children who had all been processed in the same fashion. Each pod was filled with an amazing, technological chemical which not only provided for all needs but provided a passive regenerative, healing property which encouraged growth and adaptation. There was also some mechanical probes which coved the child's face and rear for obvious reasons and at the front of the pod was a digital number, symbolising the starting power level of the child. After being removed from the pod, would a child be rescanned, to see how much difference was made.

The eyes of Kakarot hadn't stopped glowing with sharp intelligence, after being removed from his mother. An intelligence which spoke of something mystical, strange and different. Different because the soul within the flesh and bone of Kakarot, revealed an enhanced spiritual form, made from the fusion of two. Each soul brought with it a very different set of traits and properties which, after fusion, created a whole new soul. The purity of the younger and small soul, rid a lot of the memories and tainted content which the older and bigger soul possessed. Whilst the bigger soul retained the deep imprints of experience gained from its past life, which included deeply developed character traits but also intuitive life experience which now, was revealed in a sharp, intelligent gaze.

The eyes of Kakarot closed, due to heavy drowsiness which sent him to sleep, regardless of his willpower to remain conscious. After all, regardless of the previous adult life, now was the new start of a second life. Only time could reveal what path this mysterious Saiyan baby would walk on.
