Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

I changed my clothes and took a shower as soon as I got into my room. I also took care of my injuries. I stowed my weapons in my safe. Because I was wearing a jacket, people could no longer see my wounds when I looked in the mirror.

I went down just in time for our breakfast. Because I didn't want to be too close to Toby, I sat at the far end. He's currently eating, and I'm about to eat as well. When his cellphone rang, we were dining peacefully. I pretended I wasn't paying attention.

"Wait, what?" I overheard him questioning the caller.

"What news?" He asked lifelessly.

Toby suddenly frowned and rose up, walking away from the table. Perhaps they are already aware of Troy's death. Toby never returned, so after I ate, I went to the library that this mansion has. I looked for the book full of secrets, and I'm the only one who knows where it is because the back of the book has a password on it: my fingerprint. I looked up Troy Mendoza's name and imprinted my blood to indicate that he was no longer alive. One person died, and many more are still alive.

Kianna's P.O.V

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! Who the hell put Mendoza to death?!" I'm stunned that one of my greatest assassins has been killed.

"I'm not sure yet, Lady." One of the detectives in my group said.

They are completely ineffective. They didn't have any leads on who killed Troy when they arrived.

"You moron! Don't come back here until you figure out who murdered him. Get out!" I'm furious! I pay them nicely, but they fail to accomplish their work properly. Damn!

Because I had to travel to the arena, I took my small knife and silencer. There will be a gangster fight there between Rank #6 and Rank #10. It's possible that the person who assassinated Mendoza is still on the loose. So that the opponent wouldn't know me, I wore a plain black jacket and a black helmet. I got into my costly vehicle and drove it quickly.

I got at the arena after more than half an hour. I got out of my car and gave it over to the gun-wielding men in black. They're the bouncers, and they're in charge of parking the guests' cars. I had to show my I.D. to gain access.

As soon as I entered, I could hear screams. I was looking for a nice place and it was true that almost no one was at the top of the arena because there were so many spectators here below. I went to the top of the arena and I sat on the side and I saw everything. The battle is about to begin.

The fight has been going on for nearly half an hour, and the bodies of the two groups fighting within the ring are already covered in wounds. At the far end of the fight ring, I observed a Rank #6 coworker clutching an arrow, and no one seemed to notice him. He aimed the bow at the opponent's chest, which he hit. I was just taken aback when he suddenly stared at me, so I bolted. Because they know I'm here, it could just be a trap for me. When I exited the arena, I had the distinct impression that someone was following me. I came to a halt and looked around, but saw nothing until I peered in front of me, where an arrow had passed through my face and lodged in the wood. I picked up the white paper it was carrying and began reading.

"Be careful. I will come, Black Death."

I tore the paper and walked out of the arena silently.

Kian's P.O.V

They have no idea, but I do. Wherever she travels, I'm right there with her. I know her secret because I'm not stupid enough to miss it, and she's the Red Killers' leader. Everyone assumed she was in America when she was in Korea, and I watched the hard training she underwent in just a few months, as well as her dramatic transformation. She practically never misses a day of training, and she consistently improves her strength. I have no idea why she does these things that are potentially harmful to her, but her secret will remain a secret. I know she's tough, but if her actions are motivated by anger, it's not going to be good for her. Even if it may be in jeopardy, I want to aid and defend her from afar, and I'm willing to betray my group for her for not giving Toby enough information. Maybe I'm a fool, but I don't want to sabotage her plan.

"Oh, sh*t! Are you paying attention?" Angelo's shout brought me back to reality.

"Just keep saying what you're saying."

I answered him.

"Update." He sparingly answered.

Psh! Why am I assigned to get information about Keziah?

"It's still the same." I lied.

When they learn that their sister and our acquaintance are enemies, they will be furious. They will not accept that, and if I tell them the truth, Keziah will be in danger. I feel like I'm betraying the group by doing so, but I don't have an option. Toby and Kit were staring at me as Angelo brushed his hair.

"Are you sure you're doing everything you're supposed to?" Toby had approached me with the question.

His voice was frightening, but it did not terrify me.

"I tried my hardest to figure out who they were, but gathering information was difficult because they were so good." What I mentioned also has some truth to it.

"They have a knack for concealing their true identities." Kit stated.

Yes, indeed! They're fantastic because you don't notice Elisa's weird behavior.

"'Tsk!' We'll get to the bottom of it." Angelo remarked.

That's correct. You'll also know everything once Elisa's plans are completed. I got out of there and drove straight to the subdivision where Elisa's first murder occurred.
