Chapter 114 - Chapter 114: Feeling Better?

This little thing is only two months old, just about the size of a palm. I was afraid that if I applied too much force, I might hurt it.

Julian Rhodes said, "Try it, don't be afraid, it's very obedient and very gentle."

Scarlett Xavier lifted her head, glanced at Julian, and reached out to take the kitten.

The kitten's fur was soft, and Scarlett suddenly remembered that they used to have a domestic cat at home, back when her parents hadn't divorced. It was only later, because her father really didn't like it, that her mother sent the cat away.

She was young then and cried for a long time because of it.

As time passed, looking at similar small animals, she felt unfamiliar and didn't dare to touch them.

Now, holding it again, that warm feeling seemed to return to her side.

Seeing her holding it, Julian's gaze softened and he asked, "Do you like it?"

"It's so cute." She had always wanted to keep a cat.
