The originally cluttered desk was tidied up neatly by the housekeeper. Scarlett Xavier put her belongings down without disturbing Julian Rhodes, but then she heard him suddenly say, "Back just now."
She walked to the bedside and glanced at his face. It seemed he had just fallen asleep but was awakened by her.
Scarlett said, "I came back after having dinner at home. You go on sleeping; I won't disturb you. I'll go downstairs to see if there's anything I can help with."
Julian said, "Come here."
"..." Scarlett had no choice but to come over. Seeing her, he reached out and pulled her into his arms, kissing her softly for a long moment before letting her go with satisfaction.
Scarlett looked at this man, "Aren't you tired?"
The moment she came back, he caught her and kissed her.
Julian said, "I am tired."
Then he sank back into the pillow and went back to sleep.
