In the original script, right after Han Yifan finished speaking, the focus would shift directly to them. In the script, the Prince instructs his men to lift the coffin, and because one of the men accidentally trips, the poisoned apple stuck in the Princess's throat falls out, saving her.
However, there was a problem—
Due to Han Yifan's delay, what was supposed to be a three to five-minute scene stretched to over ten minutes without resolution. The two playing the Prince's attendants are also employees of the park and, as such, have multiple roles: they're also responsible for the fireworks display later.
It was agreed upon when they joined the play that if there was a delay, the two employees couldn't continue "lifting the coffin". The Prince himself would have to step in, pick up the Princess, stagger a bit, allowing her to expel the poisoned apple.
After Han Yifan's confession, the spotlight lingered on them two for too long, and no one cared about the two folks on stage.
