The shift in space mana as the rune carvers began to cut in to the stone prepared was enough for Walker to understand the gravity of what had actually changed. It wasn't just the manas around that were influenced but the space itself was being pulled. This alone was also enough to show off to him the depth of what he had begun to delve in to.
The world had lesser densities of manas compared to what the elemental planes did in certain places. Meaning that they were also able to change a lot more about what runes and formations could be used. Not that multiple types of elemental runes would be used within a singular elemental plane. That was not normal since they would not have the ability to manipulate or understand other manas.
