Chapter 371 - Chapter 371. Chaos IV

Dragon King's Harem Chapter 371. Chaos IV

The ground beneath him began to tremble, a deep rumble that grew into a violent quake. Rocks and debris lifted into the air, swirling around him in a vortex of raw elemental power. The air crackled with energy. He focused all of his rage and power on the attack, directing it at the mocking figure across the swamp.

The tempest of earth and stone roared forward, a massive wave of destruction aimed directly at his tormentor. The figure, still laughing, seemed almost to welcome the attack, standing motionless as the tempest bore down on him.

The Tectonic Tempest engulfed the figure, the force of the attack shaking the very ground beneath their feet. Trees were uprooted, and the swamp water churned violently as the tempest raged. Viperax's soldiers, exhausted and bloodied, watched in awe and fear, unsure of what the outcome would be.

Viperax's heart pounded in his chest. The sheer power of the attack was awe-inspiring. As the swirling chaos of the Tectonic Tempest subsided, a cloud of dust and debris hung thick in the air, obscuring the view of where the figure had stood.

For a moment, everything was silent. Viperax strained his eyes, trying to see through the haze.

Had his attack worked? Had he finally struck down his enemy? The seconds stretched into what felt like an eternity, the anticipation gnawing at him.

Then, from within the cloud of dust, the mocking laughter rang out again, louder and more derisive than before. Viperax's heart sank, his anger flaring anew. The figure emerged, seemingly untouched by the devastation that had been wrought around it. There was a glint in its eyes—mockery, yes, but also a cold, calculating intelligence.

"You think your tricks can harm me?" the figure's voice echoed, carrying an eerie calm. "You have much to learn."

The words cut deep, but Viperax was not one to back down. His hands tightened into fists, the ground beneath him still humming with residual energy from his attack. "Show yourself, coward!" he bellowed, his voice raw with frustration and fury. "Face me!"

The figure tilted its head as if considering the demand. Then, with a wave of its hand, the surrounding Nightshade Ravagers, which had been held at bay, began to close in once more. Their growls and snarls filled the air.

"ARGH!" Viperax roared in anger, the sound echoing across the swamp. He knew this wouldn't end unless he took drastic action. His soldiers were at their limits, and if he didn't get serious, they would all die. His eyes locked onto the figure again, burning with hatred and determination.

"Show him the Lizard Tribe's true power and crush him," he hissed in displeasure, his voice a low, dangerous growl.

His command was met with a roar from his soldiers, each one answering his call with a primal yell. The combined sound sent a shockwave through the air. It was a weird frequency that rippled outward like a haunting howling. The monsters surrounding them hesitated, their aggressive advance momentarily frozen as they sensed the shift in power.

Viperax felt the change begin deep within him. His body shuddered as the energy surged through his veins, muscles expanding and bones reshaping. His skin darkened, taking on a rough, scaled texture, his limbs growing longer and more powerful. His eyes glowed with a fierce, primal light as his face elongated into a fearsome, reptilian snout.

Around him, his soldiers were undergoing similar transformations. Their human forms melted away, replaced by monstrous lizard shapes. Scales glistened under the moonlight, claws extending and muscles rippling with newfound strength. The air was filled with the sound of bones cracking and sinews stretching as they embraced their true forms.

In their monstrous forms, Viperax and his soldiers exuded an aura of raw, untamed power. They were no longer mere warriors; they were predators, apex beings of their swampy domain. The Nightshade Ravagers, sensing the shift in power dynamics, hesitated further, their instincts urging them to flee.

The figure across the swamp watched, its eyes widening slightly as it took in the scene. The mocking glint was gone, replaced by something more cautious, perhaps even concerned.

Due to that figure's reaction, for a moment, Viperax felt a flicker of doubt—was this truly Argod, or one of his subordinates, or something else entirely?

"Are you afraid now?" Viperax taunted.

With a guttural roar, Viperax launched himself forward, his powerful legs propelling him across the swamp with incredible speed. His soldiers followed, a coordinated wave of scaled destruction. The ground trembled under their combined weight.

"Now, we end this!" Viperax roared, his voice a thunderous proclamation of their impending victory.

The Nightshade Ravagers, now faced with an enemy they had not anticipated, faltered. Viperax tore through their ranks with savage efficiency, his claws rending flesh and his jaws snapping shut with bone-crushing force. His soldiers fought with equal ferocity, their monstrous forms overwhelming the Ravagers.

The figure, still standing on the other side of the swamp, raised its hand as if to summon more of the creatures, but Viperax was upon it in an instant. He lunged, his claws slashing through the air, aiming for the figure's throat.

But despite Viperax's massive size and strength, his attack missed. The figure moved with an agility that seemed almost supernatural, slipping between Viperax's claws and legs with fluid, graceful movements. It was like trying to catch smoke with his bare hands—frustratingly elusive.

Viperax snarled in rage, his eyes narrowing as he watched the figure dart to the other side of the swamp. It was clear now that this enemy had no intention of engaging in a direct battle. Instead, it played a game of cat and mouse, using speed and cunning to outmaneuver Viperax and his soldiers.

"Stay together! Don't let it split us up!" Viperax commanded, his voice a deep, guttural roar. His soldiers, now fully transformed into their monstrous lizard forms, regrouped around him, their eyes scanning the surroundings for any sign of the elusive figure.
