Chapter 8 - The King Rangiora of Tenpentin!

I didn't have anything else to do, so I went with Hellfire to meet his "dad," the king.

The castle was huge when I was getting closer to it. I didn't expect to see a mountain with a waterfall behind the future, looking castle.

Hades went next to a steel door at the castle's entrance and knocked on the gate. Someone answered the knock speaker next to the wall of the gate.

"Stay your name... What business do you have?"

Hellfire replied, "I'm Hellfire, and I want to speak to my father, the king." After he said that, the gates immediately opened.

We entered inside with the guards following us from behind so that nothing would happen to Hades and me.

We weren't inside the cartel completely; we were in the garden next to the palace.

In the middle of the garden, there was a huge statue of Odin, the God of Norse Mythology, with his crows set on top of the figure's shoulder. Looking at the square hedges were flowers, specifically black roses and poppies.

Anyway, I asked Hades later on what he thought about this town worshiping a God from a different pantheon. His response was a surprising little bit.

But that's later on when we leave the palace and talk to the king of the town. So, now, we went straight through to the garden without any trouble.

Before we entered the castle, a giant gate was in front of us. This time prince Hellfire didn't knock on the door.

The guards behind us came to the front and pushed a lever. After the wooden bridge slowly slammed down between the gap in the garden and Hades's second home, the entrance of the

castle opened.

Anyway, we stepped inside the castle. Inside, a butler was waiting for us.

"Guards, I can take from here... Cough, so young master, and this fellow follow me." The guards stopped following us and stood by, and Hellfire and I followed this old gentleman of a butler.

"Young master, this may be rude of me, but who's that fellow at your side... Is he your friend?"

Hellfire instantly replied No-no, you aren't rude, Henry, your right. He is my friend."

When Henry, the butler, heard what Hades said, he started to cry. "Thank you, all-father, for giving the young master a single friend." He pretended not to cry and whispered to himself to make sure we didn't hear him, but we did.

When I saw Hade's face, it was not what I expected. A single tear was coming down from one eye and annoyed in the other.

——

I didn't question him and minded my business. Anyway, Henry stopped and said, "We are here, young masters." Then he knocked on the giant wooden door.

"Your majesty, your second son, Hellfire, is here with a friend." It took a minute for a response to come.

"They may enter! Henry!" A powerful voice came from another side. Then the butler opens the door by pushing the door handle very hard.

When the door opened, it revealed a giant with a huge brown beard the size of my whole body was sitting on a future-looking throne that was strong enough to support his massive size.

Next to him was a pretty woman with crimson red hair sitting on her throne that looked like a mid-evil throne. I presume she is the mother of Hellfire and the queen of this country. The queen was not a giant like the king. The king and the queen had similar luxury crowns with diamonds that filled the gaps.

On top of the king's crown, there was a lush green emerald. The queen's crown, another hand, was much smaller than the king's.

A guard in the room saw me not bowing to their king, and the queen yelled, "You fool. Bow to the Lords of the land!"

He was pointing his gun at my forehead and was about to pull the trigger of the futurist weapon, but before he could, the king roared,

"YOU, FOOL, DON'T TREAT OUR GUESTS LIKE THAT!!!"

His voice was so loud it broke the castle's windows; even it went outside, shaking the trees and the buildings alike!

The guy who got yelled at bled from his ears and died seconds later! For some reason, that guy was the only one who died.

Everyone at the palace and probably in the town covered their ears—it felt like someone was throwing a flash bomb next to me; it was super high-pitched that my ears bled with covering my ears!

Not just my ears but others as well. Except for Hades, the king, and the queen, ears didn't bleed from his yell.

"Don't worry, everyone; the effect will end in," The queen raised her five fingers and started counting down, "Five," Each time she said a number, she lowered one finger.

"Four!"

"Three!"

"Two!"

"And one!"

After she lowered the last finger and said one, the bleeding stopped instantly, and the high-pitched sound was gone from my ears.

When I raised my head, I saw other guards standing up like drunk people. After they stood up, the queen started talking, "See, this is what happens if you disrespect our son's first friend and our guest, so if we see you guards forcing... Hmmm? Umm, What's your name?

"Divider, your highness!"

"Okay, umm, forcing Divider to bow to us when he's a guest is a crime in Tenpentin." King Rangiora looked down at his wife's face and said.

"My beloved, forcing our guest to bow to us is not a crime, but I will make a crime. For Divider, it's not a crime because he's our boy's first real friend, so we have to appreciate his gratitude for becoming Hellfire's friend and not the fake's friend. Any objections?"

---

"Your Majesty, I have an objection to your statement!"

In the crowd of guards, a fancy-dressed woman with blue lipstick comes out from the group and bows in front of both of the monarchs.

"What's your objection, Beast Slayer, Timberlin Vinshock?"

"My objection is, your majesty, what gives this foreigner the right of the law not to bow to you, but we can't without being punished?!"

The King looked at her minute before answering the question and brushed his bread with his hand, and then said, "As I said before, he's my boy's first actual friend, so he has the right not to bow to us, but you and anyone else are not my son's friend. That's why I permit him.

At least the King didn't force me to bow, but if he did, I would gladly go on my knees. The woman with blue lipstick was not satisfied with Hellfire's father's answer, so she got up and left in anger.

This was not the last time I saw her. Anyway, after she left, the King chuckled and said, "Sorry, son, it took long, so what are you here for?"

Hades was still bowing to his father, and his mother said, "My dear Hellfire, don't kneel on your knees for us."

After she says this, he stands up and says, "Ahem. Sorry to say this, but general Nikon betrayed us!"

The King was shocked at what his son said, then he looked at his wife and noticed her face was the same as his. It took a minute to process what he said.

After processing what his son said, he said, "Are you joking, son? If so, this joke isn't funny!"

I looked at Hellfire's face. He looked annoyed at his mortal parents, but he stayed calm and answered his father, the king.

"Father, this is not a joke. It happened. He even fought my grandfather, and when he lost the fight, he tried to attack my friend, so I wanted to stop him, but he didn't listen to me and tried to kill me!"

After Hades told his dad everything, I looked up at the king's face; he looked like he was searching for an answer to tell his son. Before he could, the queen said, "Honey, our son won't lie to us like this, so believe him, okay."

After his wife said that, he looked down and said, "If Nikon fought my father, I suppose he would take his anger out on someone weak. I don't want to make him a traitor when he was our best general, but if it's for my son, I guess I have to."

After saying that, Rangiora stands up from his throne. When he did that, I couldn't see his face anymore.

The King said, "Listen, everyone. Here and now, Nikon is no longer a military general, but he's now a traitor to this country. No, this whole world! If someone sees him around or in other countries on this planet, capture him and put him in prison at this castle!"

After the king's speech, the guards were excited; they hit their feet on the ground to make a sound like they were marching.

He sat back on his throne and said, "Quit down... Quit down!" This made guards stop whatever they were doing.

"I decided to give you, Divider, a special mission. This mission is to bring the traitor to me. Before anybody else."

The Queen looked at her husband and said, "Why are you giving Divider this mission? The former general is stronger than him, so let experienced people do this."

King Rangiora answered his wife, "My beloved wife, I can't give Divider too much special attention. He needs to do things without our help, even if he's our son's first real friend. And you saw what happened when we allowed him not to bow to us."

The queen understood what her husband was saying, so she became quite.

"Okay, as for the?!"

"I accepted the mission!" When I said that, it made the king confused

"Huh? I didn't even say what the rewards are if you complete them."

I replied, "Only reward I want from you, your majesty, is the answer to my questions."

I looked up and saw the king playing with his bread, but my head was going to explode, so I lowered my head, and later on, the king said,

"My boy, Divider, don't you want any other rewards?"

I said, "No, your majesty. That's the only reward I want from you."

The king took his sweet time to answer me; I waited for his answer in a room full of silence.

Then suddenly, he broke the silence, "Okay, I have no objection! But before you go, let me tell you. I can answer your questions to the best of my ability, so don't be disappointed if I can't answer your question."

I answered him, "Don't worry; I will take any answers. Now excuse me; I am leaving to find him."

After I talked with the king, I left the castle.

Hellfire was about to follow me, but his parents stopped him. When he asked why he wanted to go with me, they understood and let him go.

On the statute of Odin, the two statue crows on his shoulders moved their eyes toward Divider and Hades.
