Jin Di cursed inwardly and stepped on the gas as the light turned green. He kept talking afterward, deliberately steering the conversation anywhere and everywhere just to distract himself.

Every red light turned into another stolen kiss. Every honk dragged him back to reality. His patience wore thinner by the minute.

Soon, the scenery shifted. Buildings gave way to fields, concrete softened into open land, and the road stretched quieter and longer.
