Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 - Learning about the World.

All the books and stories that Dia and Hale read was a big part of their knowledge. Diana always helped them and taught them wisely.

The room that Diana had was big. It was a miniature library as Dia and Hale would like to think. Books in each cubicle was filled to the brim. Stories and history about everything in the kingdom, they currently lived in, to heroes and heroines. They could learn about different creatures, species and differrent races.

A fireplace was situated in the room, making the room cozy and warm. In the middle of the room was a carpet and few cushions and pillows. Hale and Dia's favorite place was here. They would sleep and read everyday and spend the most time in here.

Hale's favorite story was the "Dragon who saved Zoterious", Zoterious was a kingdom neighboring their's.

Hale could not help but ask, "Mother, are dragons real? Are they powerful like how the story mentions it?"

"Of course Dragons are real, they are one of the most powerful races to ever exist in our world. They are also quite rare as the different races felt threatened by how powerful the Dragons could become, and decide to kill almost all of them. Now you could not meet a dragon, even if you searched the entire kingdom. Although Dragons were a good race and should not have been killed, some people are driven by greed and are power-hungry individuals who would try to achieve their goal by any means necessary, perpetually Dragons could have conquered them all if they wanted to but they lived in solace and seeked peace. Dragons also have a powerful spirit stone that grows in them, licking this stone can give an individual great power." Diana was teaching them about Dragons.

"Cool! Dragons are so awesome. I wish I could meet one." Hale was excited to learn.

"Maybe you can if you work a harder and stop messing around." Dia chimed in.

"You make it sound like seeing and controlling Mana is so easy." Hale was annoyed by the fact that he cannot and Dia can.

"It is easy, you just weak and slow." Dia couldn't help but reassure his weakness and show how good she was compared to him.

The world was filled with Mana which is life-force. Every living organism has Mana. To tap into this Mana and control it, can give one special powers which can help one to control the power of nature and live a healthier more powerful life. Someone who can control Mana is called a Mage.

"You two stop arguing, it is a bit weird that Hale cannot see Mana, if Dia can already. Although we have Mages, there is also Cultivators. Maybe he will seek his own path in time to come." Diana comforted him. But he was still unconvinced. He was five-years-old this year and seeing this Mana was so hard even if he concentrated with all his might.

Cultivators control Qi, which is spiritual-force. Qi can live in anything but it is very rare. Only some plants and animals can cultivate the Qi. Cultivators were very less and quite rare like the Dragons. Only one in a million can cultivate the Qi. Although it is rare, Qi is quite powerful in its own right. Cultivators can summon lightning and form weapons with Qi, that can slice Diamond like slicing through butter. Qi can strengthen the body and make one immortal if one works hard enough when practicing the Qi. Mages can also achieve immortality but at steeper costs in working hard, talent plays a big factor.

"Mother how do I see Qi?" Hale asked with his face neither angry or sad.

"Seeing Qi? I don't know honey. There is techniques I think, called cultivation techniques, that can help you see and control Qi. Those techniques are extremely powerful and useful yet extremely rare. I think only the royal Palace may have a technique which involves cultivation." Diana attentively said.

"Oh okay." He looked more worse. He thought, "Damn it, must I really steal from that royal palace."
