Chapter 17 - Chapter 17 - Christmas gifts from Martha.

Diana was happy until she saw the black egg.

"Martha, where's my welcome gift?"

Diana really wanted a black-spirit pet egg to.

Martha looked at her mischievously. She smiled at her sister. Martha flicked her hand and a packet of things appeared in the air.

"Woah, so cool." Hale yelped at the amazing spatial magic. Even Dia looked at the magic with admiration. Dia looked at her small spatial bag that her mother indirectly gave her and was thinking if it could do the same.

Diana opened the packet and was excited. In the packet was golden tea-leaves and some other very fragrant herbs. There was also fewer smaller packet's, containing an assortment of tiny seeds. Martha knew Diana's love for medicinal plants and trees. She definitely gave her something she would enjoy.

Martha urged Dia on her lap. Dia hurried over. She knew that it was her turn to get some special gifts. Dia was looking expectingly at Martha like that was her new mother. Diana was shocked inwardly, that even Dia lost her cool.

Martha flicked her wrist and three book's appeared. She flicked her wrist once again and a magnificently crafted wand appeared. Even Diana looked at the wand with amazement. That wand was crafted with Fairy-Wood. One of the most magical material a wand could be crafted in.

Martha handed the wand to Dia and two of the book's as well. She held the third spell book and said, "This spell book is different. It has some of the greatest Dragon spell's. These spell's are quite different. They need to combine Mana and Qi to cast such a spell. I want you and Hale to do a combination and to use these spell's together." Martha looked at Dia and Hale expectingly. They could obviously do it as they have a very high affinity with each other. Even their blood should be the same as she thought. If it doesn't work then they would have to simply forget about it.

But Dia and Hale looked towards each other with pure determination. They were definitely going to do it, and give their all in casting Holy-Dragon Magic. They felt a shiver, and goosebumps appeared on their skin by just imagining that they could learn Dragon Magic.

The other two book's were also special. The first book was a spell book filled with many defensive, evasive and offensive spell's.

The second book was almost as special as the Dragon Spell book. It was a Grimoire. It was the Grimoire of a Grand-Magus. It had many texts about the wonders of magic and some very useful exercises, such as how to utilize magic more accurately and how to wield Magic to the greater extent. It can help any Mage on the path of absolute Magic.

Dia opened the book and buried her face in it. It was really interesting. The Grand-Magus who written the book was named 'Demon's Candy'. What a weird name, Dia thought. She started reading and it look liked she is not going to stop any time soon.

[ TN : I used my own name, it's a fake name obviously, since I cannot seem to think about how an old fella who is good in welding magic with name himself. ]

Hale placed Eggy between two pillows. It was time for dinner. Aunt Martha and Diana was preparing for a delicious dinner. The smell wafted around the valley. Even Dia placed her book down and heard her tummy rumble at her, demanding for the food.

They had lunch together, stuffing their faces with the amazing food. Aunt Martha really enjoyed Diana's culinary skills, that she praised, and was envious of.

After they had dinner, the sun was already exiting the sky. The moon jumped up, and appeared behind some clouds. It shone it's light across the horizon. The stars appeared in their constellation and added a sparkling effect to the wonderful scenary.

Hale covered Eggy with a small blanket and kissed it good night, and not forgetting to feed it a late-night snack before he fell of to sleep.

Dia was still occupied with her reading. She was glued and seemed liked she won't be falling of to sleep, after she finished certain chapters in the Grimoire.

Diana and Martha watched them from afar. They placed two chairs, with blankets on them, outside the house. They were talking about all their nostalgic memories together. They watched the sky and absorbed the peaceful atmosphere, wondering how long this peace may last.
