Without being able to use the Holy Artifact and still feeling weak, he was very clear about the pressure he was under.
He had never thought about facing them directly, considering a strategic retreat to be the primary goal.
It wasn't in his nature.
Rather, the racial talents of the Devil Race were too terrifying. Death was one thing, but it was highly likely you would be devoured and become part of their strength... Gulete's "Third Eye" had been devoured, an ability involving space that even the Ancient Spirit Emperor coveted.
Now, it was held by an envoy of the Devil Race, who'd grown even more powerful.
