Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Xiao Gege, Aren't You a Bit Dramatic?

Jesse knocked on the door three times, but there was no response.

He didn't think much of it and pushed the door open, gesturing for Tiana Thorne to enter.

Tiana followed him inside and found the room empty, "Where is he?"

Jesse raised his hand to check the time; it was eleven in the morning.

Then he explained, "Miss Thorne, please wait a moment. At this time, Mr. Shaw should be taking a bath."

A bath...

A bath in broad daylight?

Immediately, a thought jumped into Tiana's mind.

This jerk, could he be planning to take advantage of her?

She nodded demurely, "Okay, thank you, Brother Jesse."

Jesse: "…No, no problem..."

With that, Jesse left and went to the door.

Suddenly, the room was left with her and the man in the bathroom.

She took a few steps and sat down at the desk, where she noticed a book. She casually flipped through it and saw that it was a medical text.

Her heart skipped a beat.

Could it be that the rumors were true, that Aiden Shaw really was...?

She turned a few pages and found that the content was all she had learned from her benefactor.

At that moment, footsteps sounded behind her.

Tiana closed the medical book, turned around, and saw his magnificent figure.

For an instant, it was as if magic had been cast, and time stood still.

She hadn't expected his body to be so impressive; his bathrobe was half-open, revealing a tantalizingly sexy clavicle.

His skin was somewhere between honey and wheat, with muscles just the right balance of robust and gentle, with clear, solid lines.

Droplets of water trickled down and disappeared into the bathrobe, evoking an irresistible sensation of fresh thrill.

Tiana unconsciously raised her eyes and collided with his deep chestnut pupils, so profound they felt extremely cool.

Her ears couldn't help but redden, the natural reaction of a vixen upon seeing handsome men.

"Leave."

A faint voice reached her ears, laced with a touch of displeasure.

Tiana squinted her eyes, neither dodging nor hiding, openly looking at him with a smile, "I say, Aiden, aren't you being a bit melodramatic? You invite me in, then tell me to leave, are you playing hide and seek?"

Aiden's sharp brows furrowed slightly, seemingly displeased by her address, yet in an instant, his expression was calm, and his voice was as crisp as wine, "So, Miss Thorne, are you looking for a way out of your own mischief-making?"

Uh huh?

Tiana was momentarily stupefied; when had she been mischievous?

In her gaze, his slender, distinctly boned fingers moved to his waist, "Want to keep watching?"

Tiana suddenly realized he was going to change.

Implicitly mocking her lack of manners for coming in before he was fully dressed.

How narcissistic was he, to assume she was being mischievous?

She refused to walk away; instead, she stepped closer to him, curved her flaming red lips with a smile of countless charms, "Did Mr. Shaw not call me here to treat your illness? Hence, standing here is only a doctor's benevolence."

Aiden lowered his gaze to look at her, rather than undressing, he sat down on the sofa, leaned back casually, his legs comfortably crossed, and picked up the pre-poured wine.

Tiana's mouth twitched; in his bathrobe, he inexplicably exuded an aura tantamount to wearing a six-figure suit, with a poised demeanor and cool expression.

Suddenly, he looked at her, raised an eyebrow, and his voice, rarely lazy, said, "Since Miss Thorne is to treat me, then let's begin now, any objections?"
