Xia Chuqing sat in the courtyard, the sun shining on her, her heart surging with emotions that refused to settle.
She scratched her head in distress, sometimes looking at the sun, sometimes at the flowers and plants that her grandpa had grown, a feeling of bewilderment engulfing her.
Just as she was staring blankly at the ginkgo tree in the courtyard, her grandparents came back.
"Chuqing, what are you thinking about? We've been standing next to you for quite a while now." Grandpa smiled at her.
Xia Chuqing snapped back to reality and shook her head, "Nothing much, just thinking how pretty the flowers Grandpa grows are."
"Of course, your grandpa's gardening skills are famous far and wide!" Xia Chuqing's grandpa said proudly.
Grandma smacked his shoulder, "Stop bragging, it's not good for the children!"
"Our Chuqing is a good kid, she won't pick up bad habits." Grandpa said confidently.
